Responsibilities:

The Associate Director of Facilities and Utilities Engineering is responsible to provide technical and administrative coordination for Lilly site engineering, engineering systems, and GMP utility services. The role will have Lilly site utility engineers, utility automation engineers, and system engineers as direct reports. The role will report to the Sr. Director – Engineering Concord.

Key Objectives/Deliverables:

- Provide technical and administrative oversight for all Lilly site engineering and GMP utility needs. This includes the transition from project to site ownership (e.g. qualification) and ongoing sustainment (maintaining in qualified state). Examples of systems include (but are not limited to): BMS, QBMS, HVAC, Purified Water, WFI, Clean Steam, PCA and supporting equipment that processes and maintains these utilities.

- Provide technical and administrative oversight for all engineering systems. This includes completion of all equipment and engineering system periodic reviews as well as ongoing compliance with internal standards (e.g. LQS, GQS) and external regulatory requirements.

- Provide technical and administrative oversight for any changes or deviations in site engineering, engineering systems, and/or GMP utilities. Conduct robust root cause investigations ensuring appropriate CAPA.

- Ensure practice matches procedure

- Champion continuous improvement

- Represent site engineering, engineering systems, and GMP utility capabilities beyond the Lilly Concord site (e.g. other Lilly sites and global functional groups).

- Develop and maintain metrics to measure performance against business objectives and make necessary changes to improve performance.

Basic Qualifications:

- Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

- At least 5 years engineering experience in a manufacturing site

Additional Skills/Preferences:

- Site start up experience preferred

- Solid understanding of basic requirements of regulatory agencies

- Previous experience in operations and engineering

- Previous experience with highly automated equipment

- Previous equipment qualification and process validation experience

- Previous experience with deviation and change management systems including Trackwise

- Experience in site engineering, engineering systems, and GMP utilities

- Ability to handle multiple competing priorities

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is
$123,000 - $180,400
