The job holder supports Wealth Relationship Managers and the Head of Wealth Distribution by improving the effectiveness, quality and timeliness of solutions delivered to target clients.
A critical responsibility is to understand and comply with all applicable local and global regulatory and compliance requirements. The role holder must ensure that business activities, processes and procedures are accurate, well controlled and aligned with HSBC policies, standards and regulatory obligations.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage investment deal inputs in the Internal Switch System (ISS), complete sales bookings and ensure commissions are credited accurately and within agreed timelines.
- Coordinate with Central Operations, Group offices, third-party providers and Wealth Management Processing to support the timely execution of investment transactions.
- Provide high-quality customer service by managing enquiries, redemptions, maturities, deceased-customer cases and regulated complaints, ensuring clear and timely communication.
- Manage annual reviews, customer callbacks and investment milestones, including maturity and dividend dates, to support customer retention and reinvestment opportunities.
- Conduct sales-quality checks and maintain compliance with applicable laws, regulations, HSBC policies, procedures and internal-control standards.
- Manage audit, governance and operational-risk requirements, including reporting risk events and losses, completing control checks and tracking remedial actions.
- Maintain accurate financial and operational records, including suspense and provision account reconciliations, commission payments, vouchers, transfers, complaints and compensation records.
- Prepare and maintain management information, including ISS query reports, branch-income and referral reporting, Relationship Manager performance analysis and monthly operational-risk reporting.
- Maintain secure customer records and files, support compliance and AML requirements, identify referral opportunities and ensure effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience & Qualifications:
- A full-time graduation degree of at least three years is essential for obtaining a Qatar visa and work permit.
- Strong knowledge of Wealth Management products, investment transactions, sales booking, redemptions, maturities, valuations and commission reconciliation.
- Experience using deal-processing, reporting and record-management systems, including ISS, with strong Microsoft Office proficiency.
- Strong understanding of HSBC policies, regulatory requirements, AML/KYC controls, operational risk, audit, governance and information-security standards.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to manage complex enquiries, complaints, vulnerable customers and deceased-customer cases sensitively.
- Strong reconciliation, financial-control, record-management, reporting and management-information skills, with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, analyse problems, influence stakeholders, escalate issues and maintain effective working relationships in a high-volume environment.
- Strong knowledge of Wealth Management processes and the ability to coordinate with Financial Planning advisers, Wealth Relationship Managers, Operations, branches, Compliance and external providers.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills; Arabic would be advantageous for the Qatar market.
