STV is seeking a Construction Manager to join our Transportation team in Winston-Salem, NC . This is an exciting opportunity for a construction professional who wants to help deliver meaningful roadway, highway, and bridge projects while playing a visible role in the growth of STV’s Construction Management and CEI practice across North Carolina.
In this role, you’ll work closely with clients, project teams, and field staff to support high-quality project delivery, strengthen client relationships, mentor emerging talent, and help expand STV’s presence in the region. You’ll have the support of an ENR Top 50 firm while contributing to infrastructure projects that improve mobility, safety, and connectivity for local communities.

What You’ll Do
As a Construction Manager, you will support construction management activities and help administer roadway, highway, and bridge construction projects. Key responsibilities include:
- Support the growth of STV’s CEI practice through client engagement, business development, and pursuit support
- Help recruit, mentor, and develop construction managers, engineers, inspectors, and field staff
- Serve as Project Manager on select transportation projects, as needed.
- Provide quality oversight for CEI project activities, deliverables, documentation, and field operations
- Build and maintain positive professional relationships with clients, agency partners, and project stakeholders
- Support proposals, qualifications packages, and technical pursuit materials.
- Review and interpret construction plans, contract documents, and technical specifications
- Communicate clearly with clients, project teams, and field staff to keep work moving safely and efficiently
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of education requirements
- Minimum of 10 years of highway construction administration and inspection experience
- North Carolina Professional Engineer license or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential preferred
- Familiarity with NCDOT, North Carolina municipalities, or public-sector transportation clients
- Strong communication skills, including technical writing, client communication, and coordination with project teams
- Demonstrated ability to lead construction teams, promote safe work practices, and support successful transportation project delivery

Compensation Range:
$118,489.97 - $135,417.11
