About this role
The PSG NPI Product Engineer is responsible for supporting new product introduction activities from development through production release. The role serves as a technical focal point for product transfer, qualification, yield improvement, product performance, and manufacturing readiness to enable successful launches and sustainable production. The engineer collaborates with Design, Test Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Reliability, Supply Chain, and Operations teams to resolve technical issues and meet business, quality, cost, and schedule objectives.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in product engineering, NPI, semiconductor manufacturing, test engineering, process engineering, or a related field.
- Experience supporting product qualification, product transfer, engineering builds, production release, and manufacturing ramp is preferred.
- Experience in a semiconductor wafer fabrication, assembly, or test environment is an advantage.
Technical Knowledge and Skills
- Knowledge of semiconductor product development, assembly, wafer fabrication, electrical test, qualification, reliability, and manufacturing processes.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis, data interpretation, problem solving, and technical report preparation.
- Working knowledge of SPC, DOE, FMEA, 8D, root cause analysis, control plans, and change management.
- Experience with data analysis tools such as JMP, Minitab, Excel, Power BI, SQL, Python, or equivalent is preferred.
- Understanding of automotive quality requirements, APQP, PPAP, and applicable industry standards is an advantage.
