Our 6-month Internship Programme is designed to provide a unique insight into the world of international corporate banking. Interns will gain hands-on experience supporting Japanese multinational clients across EMEA, developing an understanding of client relationship management, credit analysis and corporate banking while working alongside experienced professionals.

The programme also provides an opportunity to be considered for our Analyst Programme in Amsterdam upon completion of studies.

Our Business Area

Japanese Corporate & Investment Banking (JCIB) supports Japanese corporate clients across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Working closely with colleagues across MUFG's global network, including Japan, the team delivers a broad range of banking solutions and supports clients in achieving their strategic objectives.

What You'll Do

During the internship, you will gain practical experience across a range of corporate banking activities, including:

- Support the preparation of client presentations, proposals and meeting materials.
- Conduct company, industry and market research.
- Assist with credit analysis, portfolio monitoring and internal reporting.
- Support client relationship activities and strategic business initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Banking, Credit, Operations and other business areas.

Our Internship Programme serves as a pipeline into the full-time MUFG Analyst Programme, and successful interns may receive an offer to join the full-time Analyst Programme in Amsterdam upon completion of their studies.

- Be in the final year of undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written language skills); Japanese is strongly preferred, and Dutch is preferred.
- Have a strong interest in financial markets.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Be proactive, motivated and able to work effectively within a team.
- Have strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
