What You'll Be Doing

- Provide day-to-day administrative support for the quarry, including maintaining records, preparing reports, processing invoices, and coordinating plant documentation.
- Serve as a backup for scale-house operations by weighing trucks, generating tickets, verifying customer and product information, and maintaining accurate transaction records.
- Support employees and plant leadership with timekeeping, payroll documentation, purchasing, onboarding, training records, and other administrative processes.
- Deliver responsive customer service by assisting drivers, customers, vendors, and employees while effectively communicating plant procedures and resolving routine issues.
- Maintain organized and accurate electronic and paper records while supporting safety, environmental, operational, and regulatory documentation requirements.

What Are We Looking For

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong administrative and organizational capabilities with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Proficiency with computers and common business applications, with the ability to quickly learn scale-house, timekeeping, purchasing, and other company systems.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy when processing transactions, entering data, preparing documentation, and maintaining records.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated commitment to providing excellent service to employees, customers, drivers, vendors, and plant leadership.

Critical Experiences

- Experience providing administrative support in a plant, quarry, construction, manufacturing, or similar operational environment.
- Experience supporting scale-house activities, truck ticketing, invoicing, order processing, or comparable transactional responsibilities.
- Experience maintaining accurate operational, employee, customer, purchasing, or financial records.
- Experience coordinating with drivers, customers, vendors, employees, and operational leadership in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience supporting timekeeping, payroll documentation, purchasing, onboarding, training records, or other plant administrative processes.

Critical Skills

- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced quarry environment.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills when working with employees, drivers, customers, vendors, and plant leadership.
- Proficiency in office software and data management, with the ability to accurately maintain records, reports, scale tickets, and other operational documentation.
- Experience using ERP software, preferably SAP, with the ability to learn and effectively use scale-house and other company systems.
- Strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve routine administrative and transactional issues.

Work Environment

- Work is performed primarily in an office and scale-house environment within an active rock quarry operation.
- Regular interaction with truck drivers, customers, employees, contractors, and plant personnel.
- Occasional exposure to outdoor conditions, including heat, cold, rain, dust, noise, and changing weather conditions.
- Work near active quarry operations and mobile equipment may be required when entering designated operational areas.
- Regular use of computers, phones, office equipment, and scale-house systems in a fast-paced operational environment.

Physical Demands

- Ability to sit and work at a computer or scale-house workstation for extended periods.
- Ability to stand and walk periodically throughout the workday, including within an active quarry or plant environment.
- Ability to use a computer, keyboard, telephone, printer, and other standard office and scale-house equipment.
- Ability to safely navigate stairs, walkways, and occasional uneven surfaces when accessing operational areas.
- Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull office supplies, files, and similar materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
