About this role
The Senior Sales and Marketing Specialist supports Troons property-level and corporate marketing efforts by coordinating facility campaigns, facility sales and marketing strategies, using analytics for business decisions, and ensuring alignment with brand and business objectives. This role manages multi-channel initiatives, provides event marketing support, and contributes to content planning and reporting. The Senior Sales & Marketing Specialist is proactive, detail-oriented, and able to balance tactical execution with strategic oversight to drive measurable results. This role works in close partnership with the Director of Operations, maintaining a dotted-line relationship to ensure alignment between sales/marketing execution and operational priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Marketing Leadership
- Provide sales and marketing leadership to assigned facilities in the Pacific Northwest, including the creation sales & marketing plans, budgets and strategies for implementation.
- Oversee the management and implementation of course level programs, including but not limited to the following: Membership/Loyalty Pricing & Programming, Group Sales Lead Generation Initiatives, local community outreach, in-house event programming, holiday programming & promotions, pricing strategies for all revenue outlets and more.
- Lead advertising design, creation and implementation using Design on Demand (DOD), a brand enablement platform.
- Provide oversight assistance with the creation and management of facility websites.
- Support the creation and management of individual facility SEO and SEM campaigns.
- Assist with proactive public relations strategies and implementation to include press release cadence (using in-house tools/resources), fam trip, award/accolade solicitation/communication and other public relations campaigns.
- Oversee the management and implementation of corporate programs, including but not limited to the following: Access, Troon Advantage, Troon Golf Vacations, Troon Gift Cards, Play Troon Programs and more.
- Assist facilities with tracking and reporting upon Troon delivery from corporate programs and services.
- Deliver compelling presentations tailored to diverse audiences, including executive leadership, stakeholders, and external partners.
Sales & Marketing Support
- Execution of email marketing campaigns using corporate and/or facility email marketing platforms (i.e. Iterable, GolfNow Manage, etc.).
- Expectation 1x per month, per client in off season, 2-4x per month in prime season.
- Implementation of triggered campaigns using email marketing automation
- Update and maintain content on websites using appropriate content management system (e.g., WordPress) to ensure website presentation is on brand with the facility, and client expectations. Refining content seasonally to align with campaign goals.
- Execution of organic social media posting and campaigns for facilities. Deployment of both centralized content and support of facility centric posting with a goal of 3x per week per channel per facility.
- Deployment of facility app content refinements and app pushes based upon facility campaign needs.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to support program rollout, track campaign deliverables, and ensure consistent messaging.
- Support reputation management and facility response to reviews using centralized corporate tools (Yext, GolfPass)
- Support adoption and implementation of Troon programs, tools, revenue delivery and campaigns.
Results & Communication Coordination
- Enter and aggregate contact records, track outreach efforts, and maintain data accuracy in
- Serve as a liaison between the marketing team and facility sales/operational leaders to gather inputs, relay information, and support follow-ups.
- Assist with customer engagement tasks such as campaign responses, list segmentation, and internal inquiries.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and creative teams to align messaging and timelines.
- Manage incoming requests, ensuring responsiveness and high-quality delivery.
Troon Program Stewardship
- Oversight and management of specific Troon program or initiative to include promotion of adoption and results / participation tracking for the purposes of communication to leadership and stakeholders
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
- 2-3 years of experience in marketing, communications, or campaign coordination.
- Experience managing multi-channel campaigns and supporting event-based initiatives.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in hospitality, golf, or lifestyle industries.
- Exposure to regional or multi-property marketing structures.
Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Familiarity with marketing analytics tools (Google Analytics, email campaign platforms).
- Proficiency with CMS platforms, CRM systems, and email marketing tools.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong project tracking, time management, and prioritization skills.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills :
- Experience with design or collaboration tools (e.g., Canva, Asana, Monday.com).
- Comfort analyzing and presenting data to diverse stakeholders.
Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree in marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required.
Compensation: $75,000-80,000 dependent on experience
