JOB SUMMARY:
The Assistant Vice President of IT will supervise and motivate a team of experienced IT staff members as well as oversee cost effective system implementations and operations.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
To perform this job, an individual must accomplish each essential function satisfactorily, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Manage and lead IT staff to ensure users needs are met and systems are functional and current. This includes:
o Employee Time Sheet, Expense Report, and PTO Approval
o Prioritizing Tasks
o Completing Employee Performance Reviews
Manage Hardware, Software and Technical Supply vendors, including:
o Equipment and Software Purchasing and Approval
o Vendor Selection, Product Selection, and Quote Review
o Invoice and Payment Oversight
Manage and oversight of IT projects from start through completion
Develop and successfully implement an effective reliable infrastructure management framework
Assist with setting vision, strategy, and the implementation of the Information Technology Infrastructure Organization in support of successful governance, execution and delivery of policy and standards.
Administer the IT Departments expense budget within established guidelines
Policy Development
o Revise and update existing written Policies and procedures
o Create new Policies and Procedures as needs arise
Managing Legal Hold Requests
Internal Auditing of IT Procedures
Advise Senior Management Team on IT issues
Other duties as assigned by supervisor

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Requirement:
o Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field; masters degree preferred
Required Work Experience:
o 10+ years experience in information technology management
Required Skills:
o Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technology
o Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills
o Strong communication skills
o Must be proficient with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Windows Server
o Must be familiar with router and firewall configuration

SCOPE AND LEVEL OF WORK:
Complexity: Duties assigned may be complex and of substantial intricacy. Work assignment is performed within an established framework under general instructions but requires simultaneous coordination of assigned functions or projects in various stages of completion.
Decision Making: Exercises judgment and discretion, and is responsible for determining the time, place and sequence of the work performed.
Communications: Contacts with the public or employees where explanatory or interpretive information is exchanged, defended, and gathered and discretion and judgment are required within the parameters of the job function.
Supervision Received: Performs work with supervisory oversight. Under general supervision, receives assignments and is expected to carry them through to completion with substantial independence. Work is reviewed for adherence to instructions, accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standard practice or precedent. Recurring work clearly covered by guidelines may or may not be reviewed.
Social Interaction: Interpersonal contacts with individuals within or outside the organization may occasionally result in unexpected demands, requiring restructuring of priorities, and the performance of several related tasks simultaneously.
Impact of Actions: An error in action may affect more than one work department in the organization. Errors have the potential to cause avoidable costs and inconveniences.
