SUMMARY

Delivers fast, friendly, helpful and efficient service to all Market 32/Price Chopper customers. Assists the Bakery Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations by ensuring compliance with merchandising, sanitation and training policies and procedures. Inspects bakery products to ensure product availability and quality are maintained, maximizing sales opportunities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consistently adhere to company 5S efficiency standards while providing fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service.
• Demonstrate a welcoming customer service approach by smiling, making eye contact and thanking customers after fulfilling their requests.
• Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation in accordance with 5S standards at all times.
• Assist with bakery operations within the retail store environment, including product preparation, baking, merchandising and final presentation of all bakery products.
• Oversee department operations in the absence of the Bakery Manager.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through product availability, quality, exceptional service and sanitary conditions. Maintain an adequate presentation and the appropriate product variety to meet customer needs.
• Comply with all corporate and state sanitation regulations while maintaining a neat and clean workstation.
• Manage and fulfill all customer special orders accurately and timely.
• Assist with the training and development of bakery associates to support corporate performance standards.
• Comply with all company safety and training policies and procedures, and ensure bakery associates do the same.
• Assist the Bakery Manager in maintaining corporate inventory levels in freezers, coolers, back rooms, supplies and Deco Pac.
• Develop proficiency in all financial aspects of the Bakery Department, including paperwork, weekly shrink, transfer sales and budgets.
• Control shrink by consistently following related policies and procedures.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

- Must be at least 18 years of age.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and support others; with strong follow -through in achieving desired results and objectives.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- High School Degree or equivalent.

- 6-12 months of related experience.

- Strong communication skills.

- Basic computer skills
