We are seeking a technical Space Business Development professional to help drive exponential growth within the Space Sensing and Defense division of CACI’s Space Line of Business ($1.9B+ portfolio). In this critical role, you will build customer relationships and pursuits and execute a growth strategy for a division generating over $500M in annual revenue. You will be responsible for driving pipeline development, shaping future acquisitions, and fostering internal and external trusted partnerships across CACI and the U.S. Space Force, Department of War (DoW), Intelligence Community (IC), commercial and nontraditional contractors.

The ideal candidate is a strong customer-facing communicator with a high degree of technical acumen in space EO/IR/Radar payloads and sensemaking at the edge supporting the Aerospace, Defense and Intelligence Community. You will navigate complex, unstable government funding cycles while consistently driving aggressive year-over-year top and bottom-line growth through value creation and an extensive customer network.

Key Responsibilities:

- Strategic Growth & P&L Growth: Oversee business development to sustain and exceed targeted P&L booking requirements across a mixed portfolio of Defense Laser Warning systems and complex optical systems and payloads
- Customer Engagement & Capture: Cultivate trusted relationships with government stakeholders, Program Acquisition Executives Offices (PAEs), and IC customers to discern needs and proactively shape future acquisitions
- Market Expansion: Spearhead the transition and expansion of Space Payloads from the IC into the broader DoW and assess expansion into commercial and international markets
- Pipeline & Proposal Management: Support long-range planning, pipeline development, and backlog generation. Guide proposal strategies and color team reviews to ensure alignment with executive leadership for profitable, sustainable growth
- Product Shaping: Partner with business and engineering leads to identify and shape new hardware and software offerings by analyzing geopolitical sentiment, evolving customer priorities, and emerging technology advancements
- Strategic Leadership: Leverage soft power of influence and cross-functional leadership to drive business development objectives across a highly matrixed environment

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor of Science in Optical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related technical discipline
- 12+ years of strategic business development experience in the Space and Intelligence sectors, with a proven track record of scaling large business units and managing capture strategies
- US Citizen with an a ctive Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Exceptional communication skills with a proven mastery of influencing others with demonstrated pipeline growth, long-range planning experience, and navigating USG Opportunity Management Systems (SAM.gov, ARC, NSTXL SpEC)

Desired Qualifications:

- Proficiency in navigating CRM, pipeline, and ERP tools including Salesforce, GovWin, CostPoint, Unanet, and SAP.
- Demonstrated engineering background with foundational knowledge in space optical sensing and agile management tools to effectively communicate with engineering teams, evaluate architectures, and engage all customers.
- US Citizen with a ctive Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph preferred.
- Master’s degree preferred

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$137,400-$302,300
