ICA Language Services is seeking an experienced Spanish Language Instructor to provide hybrid language instruction, with three days of in-person instruction at our facility in Rosslyn, VA, and two days of online instruction.

In Person: Monday–Wednesday at ICAs Rosslyn facility
- Online: Thursday–Friday
- Hours: 25 hours per week
- Schedule: 9:00 AM–2:00 PM or 8:00 AM–1:00 PM
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver intensive Spanish language instruction appropriate for a student currently at ILR Speaking Level 2
- Develop the students speaking, listening, and reading proficiency through communicative, task-based, and proficiency-oriented instruction
- Develop and adapt instructional materials based on the students proficiency level, learning needs, and course objectives
- Incorporate authentic materials and increasingly complex topics to support progression to higher levels of proficiency
- Administer practice assessments, quizzes, and other activities to monitor student progress
- Provide constructive feedback and recommendations for independent language study
- Incorporate activities and tasks aligned with ILR proficiency expectations and FSI-style language assessment
- Under the guidance of the Language Training Supervisor, provide monthly reports on the students progress
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Spanish, linguistics, education, or a related field
- Minimum of two years of experience teaching Spanish to adult learners in an intensive setting
- Experience teaching intermediate and advanced-level Spanish learners
- Familiarity with the ILR proficiency scale and NFATC/FSI language testing protocols
- Ability to develop and adapt instructional materials based on student proficiency and learning objectives
- Strong organizational, communication, and classroom management skills
- Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish
- High proficiency in English sufficient for instruction, explanation, and feedback
