## Position Summary

The Senior Manager, Global Operations PMO Governance & Excellence owns and operates the governance and capability system for the Global Operations project portfolio. This role leads portfolio intake, scoring and prioritization processes, governance cadence, Portfolio Management Committee support, executive reporting, benefits tracking, PMO methodology, standards, training, and project management maturity. The position leads complex, cross-functional governance and PMO improvement initiatives, coordinates resources without direct authority, and drives implementation, adoption, and sustained use of common processes and tools across the extended project management network. This role provides decision-ready portfolio visibility and strengthens consistent project execution across strategic, cross-functional, functional, and site-led initiatives.

## What You’ll do as a Sr Manager, Global Operations PMO Governance & Excellence

- Owns and operates the Global Operations portfolio governance process, including project intake, portfolio inventory, scoring and prioritization preparation, project tiering, governance cadence, escalation paths, and Portfolio Management Committee materials and follow-up. (20%)
- Leads portfolio performance management and executive decision support. Establishes portfolio health, data-quality, benefits-tracking, dependency, risk, and resource-visibility requirements; validates information; identifies trends and gaps; and prepares clear dashboards, scorecards, and recommendations for leadership. (15%)
- Owns, governs, and continuously improves Global Operations PMO methodology, lifecycle standards, governance touchpoints, scaling guidance, templates, playbooks, standard work, and practical project tools. (15%)
- Implements governance and Center of Excellence improvements through structured change management, communications, onboarding, training, coaching, reinforcement, and corrective action. Measures adoption, compliance, sustained use, and PMO maturity and resolves barriers to consistent application. (15%)
- Leads complex, cross-functional governance, portfolio, technology, and PMO capability initiatives from definition through implementation and sustainment. Establishes scope, deliverables, schedules, roles, resource requirements, dependencies, risks, and success measures; coordinates internal and external resources without direct authority; and drives decisions and accountability. (10%)
- Owns the business governance and effective use of PMO technology, including Smartsheet Control Center, blueprints, portfolio architecture, dashboards, reporting inputs, access standards, and automation priorities. Partners with technology support resources to align system configuration and use with approved PMO processes. (10%)
- Leads PMO onboarding, learning paths, job aids, coaching, and the Project Management Community of Practice. Facilitates forums, shares lessons learned and best practices, gathers feedback, and builds project management capability across PMO team members, functional project leaders, and the extended network. (10%)
- Partners with Project Delivery teams, other PMOs, New Product Development/New Product Introduction teams, I&T, site and functional leaders, and subject-matter experts to align governance, reporting, handoffs, roles, and standards while avoiding duplicate or conflicting requirements. (5%)

## The Experience, Skills, and Abilities Needed

Required:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, operations, supply chain, engineering, project management, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in project, program, or portfolio management; PMO governance or operations; operations excellence; supply chain; manufacturing; business transformation; or a related discipline.
- Progressive experience leading portfolio governance and multiple complex, cross-functional initiatives; operating intake, prioritization, governance, portfolio reporting, and benefits-tracking processes; coordinating resources without direct authority; and driving accountability, adoption, and measurable outcomes.
- Experience must also include PMO methodology, standards, templates, playbooks, training, coaching, reporting, data quality, and continuous improvement.
- Smartsheet experience, including the ability to manage Control Center and develop blueprints. Strong business judgment, facilitation, communication, organization, collaboration, and influence.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.

Preferred:

- 3+ years in portfolio governance, enterprise PMO, project governance, or PMO Center of Excellence work.
- Experience supporting intake, scoring, prioritization, executive portfolio reviews, benefits tracking, portfolio health, or resource and dependency visibility.
- Experience developing PM methodology, templates, playbooks, standard work, training, onboarding, or a project management community of practice.
- Experience supporting global operations, manufacturing, supply chain, life sciences, healthcare, quality, or regulated environments; Power BI, Tableau, Lean Six Sigma, or change management experience.
- Tools and analytics: proficient with Microsoft Office and collaboration tools. Requires Smartsheet experience, including Control Center administration, blueprint development, dashboard inputs, portfolio architecture,
- and reporting; Power BI, Tableau, or other PPM tools.

- Reporting and data quality: establishes reporting requirements, validates portfolio information, identifies trends and gaps, and develops executive-ready dashboards, scorecards, and decision support.
- Adoption and capability building: develops onboarding, learning paths, job aids, coaching, communities of practice, feedback loops, and reinforcement approaches that drive sustained use.
- Leadership and influence: leads cross-functional teams, coordinates resources without direct authority, facilitates decisions, resolves competing priorities, and balances standards with business practicality.
- Core competencies: business judgment, strategic thinking, practical problem solving, ownership, accountability, collaboration, service mindset, organization, resilience, learning agility, and clear communication.

Pay range for this opportunity is $107,525.00 - 150,000.00. This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed.  Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
