The Senior Financial Analyst supports Bagel Brands’ financial planning, performance analysis, and decision-making by delivering accurate reporting, rigorous analysis, and actionable business insights. This role serves as a key financial partner to Operations and Support Center leaders, helping optimize labor investments, improve productivity, and ensure alignment between staffing plans and business performance.
The Senior Financial Analyst operates with a high degree of independence and ownership, translating complex financial and operational data into clear insights and recommendations that inform business decisions. In alignment with Bagel Brands’ Mission, Vision, and Values, this role brings curiosity, financial rigor, and strong partnership to the work—helping the organization understand not only what is happening in the business, but why it is happening and what actions may improve performance.

Annual Salary: $95,000 to $105,000
Targeted Annual Bonus: 10%
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Financial Reporting & Performance Analysis
· Own recurring labor and operating expense reporting packages and dashboards that provide visibility into labor performance, productivity, staffing trends, and operational KPIs.
· Analyze store-level, market-level, and enterprise labor performance, providing actionable insights and recommendations to Operations leadership.
· Investigate labor variances and identify root causes related to staffing levels, wage trends, overtime, and operational execution.
· Investigate operating expense variances and identify root causes related to execution and vendor management.
· Prepare monthly reporting and executive level presentations that summarize labor performance, key risks, opportunities, and recommended actions.
Budgeting, Forecasting & Financial Planning
· Own assigned components of the budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring assumptions and inputs are accurate, timely, and aligned with company goals.
· Develop and maintain financial models and scenario analyses to evaluate business initiatives, performance outcomes, and potential investment decisions.
· Partner with Finance and cross-functional leaders to develop, challenge, and refine planning assumptions.
· Analyze actual performance against forecasts and identify emerging trends that may impact future results.
· Recommend adjustments to forecasts and assumptions based on business performance and evolving conditions.
Business Partnership & Continuous Improvement
· Serve as a strategic financial partner to Operations, providing financial insights that support field execution and operational decision-making. Support field leaders in understanding labor trends, productivity metrics, and financial impacts of operational decisions.
· Build effective relationships with business partners to understand operational drivers and connect financial results to underlying business activity.
· Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting, dashboards, models, and analytical processes.
· Support automation and process improvements that increase the accuracy, efficiency, and scalability of FP&A activities.
· Maintain high standards of accuracy, organization, documentation, and financial integrity across analyses and reporting.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & EXPERIENCE
Required
· Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field.
· 3–5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, finance, accounting, analytics, or a related discipline.
· Strong financial modeling, forecasting, variance analysis, and business performance analysis capabilities.
· Advanced Excel skills with demonstrated ability to work with large datasets, build financial models, and perform complex analysis.
· Ability to translate financial and operational data into clear insights and actionable business recommendations.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated ability to independently investigate financial trends and performance drivers.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present financial information to business partners.
· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deliverables while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.
· Ability to build strong relationships and collaborate effectively across functions.
· High degree of integrity, confidentiality, and professional judgment.
Preferred
· Experience with reporting, analytics, or visualization tools such as Power BI.
· Experience within restaurant, hospitality, retail, franchise, or another multi-unit consumer environment.
· Experience supporting business performance analysis.
· Experience improving or automating financial reporting and analytical processes.
· Exposure to planning, financial reporting, and FP&A / ERP systems.
