Job Responsibilities:

- Own the performance, stability, support, and roadmap of assigned ERP applications.
- Provide day-to-day oversight of the Managed Services provider and specialized ERP vendors.
- Monitor SLAs, service quality, incidents, problems, enhancements, and project delivery.
- Hold vendors accountable for responsiveness, technical quality, estimates, timelines, and issue resolution.
- Maintain strong functional understanding of Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Inventory, Procurement, Order Management, Shipping, and related processes.
- Maintain strong technical understanding of ERP architecture and legacy application environments.
- Understand IBM i / AS400 concepts, RPG applications, DB2, batch processing, interfaces, jobs, data structures, and system dependencies.
- Lead or support resolution of business-critical application and plant issues.
- Ensure recurring issues receive appropriate root-cause analysis and permanent corrective action.
- Review technical solutions and challenge vendor recommendations when needed.
- Work with plant and business teams to identify whether issues are related to process, application, data, integration, or infrastructure.
- Lead application participation in projects, upgrades, migrations, integrations, and enhancements.
- Coordinate with Infrastructure, Security, Data & Analytics, Integration, and Enterprise Architecture teams.
- Manage technical debt and operational risk associated with legacy applications.
- Support future migration and retirement of legacy ERP platforms as part of the ERP consolidation strategy.
- Ensure system knowledge is documented and retained internally.

Team Leadership and Management

- Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

- Resource Management: Allocate resources effectively, ensuring that the team is equipped to meet organizational needs and project deadlines.

- Performance Evaluation: Conduct regular performance reviews, set goals, and provide feedback to team members to enhance their skills and contributions.

IT Strategy and Implementation

- Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute the IT strategy in alignment with the organization’s overall goals and objectives.

- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

- Technology Adoption: Evaluate and recommend new technologies and systems to enhance operational efficiency and improve service delivery.

Operational Oversight

- IT Infrastructure Management: Ensure the stability, security, and performance of the IT infrastructure, including networks, servers, and cloud services.

- Incident Management: Oversee the incident management process, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and minimizing disruptions to business operations.

- Change Management: Implement change management processes to facilitate the smooth introduction of new technologies and updates, ensuring minimal impact on users.

Budgeting and Financial Management

- Budget Oversight: Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring prudent financial management and cost control in all IT activities.

- Vendor Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers, ensuring compliance with contracts and service level agreements (SLAs).

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

- Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to identify technology needs, gather requirements, and provide IT solutions that enhance productivity.

- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, providing regular updates on IT initiatives, projects, and performance metrics.

Compliance and Security

- Policy Development: Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

- Cybersecurity: Oversee cybersecurity initiatives to protect the organization’s data and systems from potential threats and vulnerabilities.

Education :

- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP) preferred.

- 8+ years of experience in IT management or a related field, with a proven track record of managing complex IT projects and teams.
- 8–10+ years of ERP or enterprise application experience.
- Strong experience supporting ERP applications in manufacturing environments.
- Strong understanding of Supply Chain and Manufacturing business processes.
- Experience with ERP platforms such as PRMS, BPCS, LX, JDE, Oracle, Syspro, Infor, or similar systems.
- Strong understanding of ERP technical concepts and application architecture.
- Familiarity with IBM i / AS400, RPG, DB2, batch processing, and legacy-system concepts.
- Understanding of integrations, EDI, interfaces, and enterprise data flows.
- Strong Managed Services and vendor-management experience.
- Experience managing production incidents, problems, changes, enhancements, and projects.
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams, plant users, vendors, and business leadership.

- Preferred Direct PRMS, BPCS, or LX experience.
- Strong IBM i / AS400 experience.
- RPG knowledge or ability to understand RPG applications.
- EDI experience.
- ERP modernization or legacy-system retirement experience.
- Multi-site manufacturing experience.
