About this role

We’ve signed up to an ambitious journey. Join us!

As Arrive, we guide customers and communities towards brighter futures and more livable cities, it isn’t a challenge just anyone could take on. Luckily, we have something to help us make it happen. Our people and our values. We Arrive Curious, Focused and Together. Just as our entire brand is inspired by the North Star, the shining light leading travelers to their destinations since time began, our values guide us. They help us be at our best. For our customers. For the cities and communities we serve. For ourselves. As a global team, we are transforming urban mobility. Let’s grow better, together.

As a Functional Product Manager within the Transport Business Unit, you are the technical and functional backbone of our product-led transformation. Your overarching mission is to champion a "Product-Driven" mindset.

In your specific capacity as the Data Product Manager , you will own the vision, backlog, and execution for all data-centric products. You will be responsible for turning raw transport business unit data into actionable insights. This includes feeding the overarching Arrive Group Data Lake, developing Business Intelligence (BI) SaaS offerings for public transit authorities (B2G), and exploring AI capabilities to drive quality and operational efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

Generic Responsibilities

- Backlog & Roadmap Ownership: Translate high-level strategic visions (from the Head of Experience) into a prioritized, actionable product backlog. Ensure the backlog is always "Ready" for developers.
- The "Standardization" Guardian: Strictly enforce the 70% Standard / 30% Specific ratio. Resist custom developments that create technical debt and champion reusable, scalable features to stop the "redo" cycle.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as the decisive pivot between Engineering, Quality Assurance, UX/UI, and Business Analysts. Resolve conflicts and ensure the Squad reaches its Sprint goals.
- Gap Analysis Validation: Work closely with Business Analysts and Market PMs to review client tenders. Define how to configure existing standard tools to meet client needs without rewriting core code.
- Quality & Acceptance: Define clear "Definition of Done" criteria. Validate that the delivered software meets the functional goal before handing it over to the Delivery Managers for rollout.

Domain-Specific Responsibilities (Data Expertise)

- Dashboard Building & Visualization: Define, design, and actively build intuitive data dashboards (using tools like PowerBI, Tableau, or embedded BI solutions). You will create operational dashboards for internal monitoring and client-facing dashboards that translate complex transit data into actionable insights.
- Data Lake Integration: Lead the integration of the BU Transport's data streams into the global Arrive Group Data Lake, ensuring data quality, consistency, and compliance (GDPR).
- BI & Analytics SaaS Offerings: Design and manage standard Business Intelligence dashboards and reporting tools to city and transit operators.
- AI/ML Readiness: Monitor and evaluate practical AI use cases (e.g., predictive maintenance for hardware, anomaly detection) to be integrated into the roadmap, value-add features once the core BI and Data Lake foundations are fully established.
- Data Governance & APIs: Define the data models and ensure our APIs allow seamless, secure data sharing across the Ticketing, Pay As You Go, and Digital pillars.

Your Role in the Organization

You will operate in a highly matrixed environment to ensure the Data product serves the entire ecosystem:

- With the product team: You align your Data roadmap with the broader business model.
- With Technology: You define the Functional Data Need (the "What" and "Why"), while relying on the Technology team to provide the underlying infrastructure and architecture (the "How").
- With Market PMs & Sales : You gather feedback on local market data requirements (e.g., specific transit reporting standards in the UK vs. US) and abstract them into global, standard BI features.
- With Delivery Managers: You package data releases and ensure that Ops and Support teams are trained on new BI tools or AI features before they hit the market.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Standardization Rate: Ratio of "Standard Data/BI" features deployed vs. custom reporting requests developed for specific clients.
- Data Product ROI & Adoption: Profitability of the Data Offering and the adoption rate of these dashboards by our B2G clients.
- Time-to-Market: Efficiency from the conception of a new data feature/AI model to its "Ready for Rollout" status.
- Data Quality & Reliability: Uptime of data pipelines, accuracy of reporting, and successful integration metrics with the Group Data Lake.

Candidate Profile

- Experience: 5+ years in Product Management, with a proven track record of managing Data, Business Intelligence, or Analytics products (ideally in B2B/B2G SaaS or Mobility/Transport sectors).
- Strategic Mindset: Deep understanding of how to monetize data and transition legacy reporting into modern, scalable SaaS products.
- Technical Literacy: Strong understanding of data architecture, Data Lakes, APIs (REST/JSON), and hands-on experience building with BI tools. Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and data privacy regulations (GDPR, PCI-DSS context) is a plus.
- Execution & Agile: Mastery of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Proven ability to say "No" to specific client requests to protect the standard product vision.
- Communication: Professional working proficiency in English (Level B1/B2) is required to collaborate with our international teams and document features. Fluency in French is a strong plus. Ability to translate complex data engineering concepts into clear business value for stakeholders.
- Mobility: Willingness and ability to travel occasionally between our hubs and to client sites as required for strategic alignments or major rollouts.
