Primary Function:

Long Wave Inc. is seeking a Logistics Support Analyst to support Product Support for Department of Defense (DoD) programs. This position will perform logistics and supportability analysis to ensure systems, equipment, and training devices can be effectively operated, maintained, supported, and sustained throughout their lifecycle.

The Logistics Support Analyst will work closely with Engineering, Technical Publications, Curriculum, Configuration Management, Program Management, suppliers, and customers to develop and maintain logistics data, maintenance concepts, support requirements, and Product Support deliverables using approved engineering source data.

Essential Responsibilities:

- Perform Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) and supportability analysis

- Develop Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) to define maintenance tasks, task frequencies, personnel requirements, skill levels, tools, support equipment, consumables, and other maintenance resources.

- Support development of maintenance concepts and maintenance planning and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA).

Analyze engineering data to author and maintain supply support and support equipment elements within the Logistics Support Analysis Record (LSAR) database.

- Analyze engineering source data, drawings, Bills of Material (BOMs), specifications, reliability and maintainability data, maintenance information, and supplier.

- Support Reliability, Maintainability, Availability, and Testability activities by incorporating applicable engineering analysis.

- Support Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS), obsolescence, lifecycle, and supply support analysis.

- Coordinate with Engineering, Reliability and Maintainability, and other functions to ensure requirements and supportability considerations are incorporated into system design.

- Coordinate with Technical Publications and Curriculum teams to ensure maintenance tasks, support equipment, spares, procedures, and other logistics information are reflected in technical manuals and training products.

- Evaluate engineering and configuration changes.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Conditions:

Employee will be working within an office environment.  Employee may be expected to travel on occasion to locations where specific PPE or attire is necessary.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

- 3+ years of professional experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS), Product Support, Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), maintenance planning, or a related field.

- Experience performing logistics or supportability analysis for complex systems or equipment.

- Experience interpreting engineering drawings, Bills of Material (BOMs), specifications, maintenance data, and other engineering source information.

- Working knowledge of maintenance planning, Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), provisioning, spares, support equipment, and lifecycle support concepts.

- Ability to coordinate effectively across Engineering, Technical Publications, Curriculum, Program Management, suppliers, and customers.

- Strong analytical, written, verbal, and organizational skills.

- US Citizenship and eligibility for a DoD Security Clearance is required.

Preferred Requirements:

- Experience supporting DoD aerospace, aviation, training systems, or other complex defense programs.

- Experience with LSA, MTA, LORA, provisioning, and support equipment analysis.

- Familiarity with Reliability, Maintainability, Availability, and Testability principles, such as Failure Modes, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) reports.

- Experience supporting DMSMS and obsolescence management.

- Experience supporting technical publication and training development through Engineering and maintenance source data.

- Familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM), Basis of Estimate (BOE) development, and schedule-driven DoD programs.

- Direct experience generating Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSPL) and applying Source, Maintenance, and Recoverability (SM&R) codes.

- Active DoD Secret clearance or higher is preferred.

- This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
