The Education & Career Readiness Coordinator is responsible for centralizing academic intervention, summer educational programming, and vocational curriculum development to provide year-round educational support to youth served by the program. This position provides one-on-one and small-group academic tutoring, develops and implements a structured onsite summer school program, and designs vocational and career readiness curricula to prepare youth for successful transitions into adulthood. The Education & Career Readiness Coordinator must demonstrate strong instructional skills, curriculum development ability, and a commitment to improving educational achievement, reducing learning loss, and increasing graduation and workforce readiness.

• Strong technical skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Google Drive) with the ability to learn new software and educational technology.
• Proficient in reading, interpreting, and applying ORR policies and procedures.
• Knowledgeable in classroom instruction, tutoring methods, and vocational/career readiness curriculum development.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Bachelor's degree in education, behavioral sciences, human services, or a related field.
• Experience in an educational, tutoring, or vocational training setting.
• Experience developing curriculum or instructional programming preferred.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Flexible schedule (evenings, weekends, holidays) to facilitate program services.
• Cleared tuberculosis test results.
• Must be able to pass a drug test.
• Must be able to provide proof of required vaccinations.
• Cleared background checks from appropriate entities, including Child Abuse and Neglect and FBI criminal background.
• Obtain and maintain CPR/First Aid and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible to drive to facilitate program services as required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• May lift and carry up to 10 pounds frequently, up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 50 pounds infrequently.
• Performs tasks that may involve standing or walking 50% of the day; sitting 50% of the day.
• May bend, stoop, reach, and grasp as necessary.
• Must be able to provide First Aid and CPR.
• Must be able to perform physical holds as instructed in Crisis Prevention Intervention training (CPI).
