Electrical Engineering Internship (m/f/d) - Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

The Internship assignment :

The Technical services Team works around the clock on utilities and infrastructure systems to maximize performance and availability. Through a combination of preventative and corrective maintenance they ensure these systems operate as intended, and when they don't, they're returned to service as soon as possible.

The Technical Service PM&E Team is looking for an experienced Electrical Execution Engineer who can actively search, generate, plan, and execute improvement projects for the Gigafactory Berlin and related buildings/warehouses.

- Actively communicate with the stakeholders of TS and Giga Factory to identify the needs/improvement opportunities for processes or the people.
- Improvement projects are not limited to civil/architectural but extend in a wide range of MEP, EHS, Process Improvements, Workplace related improvements and compliance.
- Improvement projects will be related either to ensure the comfort/safety of the Giga Factory people, time saving projects or cost saving projects.
- PM&E Team plans and executes standalone and turnkey projects under the following scope, Investigating opportunities for improvement through stakeholder communication
- Generate the solution and prepare the feasibility study for first line approval
- Coordinates with internal/external authorities/decision makers for compliance afterwards cost approvals
- Coordinates with internal/external engineering stake holders for
- Cost Estimation
- Full Design Package
- Bill of Quantities (BoQ)
- Assists or directly coordinates the tendering process
- Takes full ownership for the execution phase
- Coordinates with the Quality & Commissioning team for the final handover to the end user

- PM&E Team also supports/follows up the ongoings projects generated within TS as well to expedite project deliveries.

- Background working as a project engineer in manufacturing environments.
- Preferred experience in maintenance management of industrial facilities and utilities to understand the workflows and identify the possible improvement points/projects.
- Prior stakeholder management experience in complex projects.
- Ability to interface with multiple engineering disciplines within TS and within Tesla.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in technical German and English is mandatory. Further Languages are of advantage. 
- Strong relationship management and communication skills.
- Experienced with Microsoft packages (e.g., Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and MS Project).
- Desirable experience with AutoCAD and Revit, Revu Bluebeam, Navisworks etc. are of advantage.
