For Water Street Mission to fulfill its mission and purpose, it is critical for all staff to participate in the development and maintenance of a healthy Christian Community. By living out our faith with one another and creating a space where our guests are invited to experience that community with us, we participate in lives being restored. Even as some positions have minimal direct contact with guests, each staff member has an essential role in forming and maintaining Christian community. The love of Christ, evidenced in our Water Street community, is the real impetus for change with our guests.

Job Summary:

Are you a people person? Do you keep in touch with family and friends and remember birthdays or special occasions? Do you enjoy praying with people? Use your people skills as a full-time Mid-Level and Monthly Partner Ambassador to help provide consistent financial resources needed to give hope and a hand up to Lancaster County’s most vulnerable men, women, and children.

As a Partner Ambassador on the Advancement Team, you will cultivate relationships with our mid-level and monthly partners through phone calls, texts, mail, email, and events. We build relationships with each of these groups of partners by showing appreciation, offering encouragement and prayer, providing education about our work, and nurturing the joy of giving.

The effective Mid-Level and Monthly Partner Ambassador also assists in the execution of strategies to acquire, reacquire, retain and upgrade mid-level and monthly donors.

FLSA: Non Exempt, Full Time

All Water Street Mission staff must be:

- Willing to sign the Water Street Ministries’ Statement of Faith

- A current and active member and/or regular attendee of a local church.

- Able to fully support the Water Street Mission’s core values and ministry philosophy.

Essential Functions:

Culture and Values

- Share the Good News of Jesus Christ in words and actions with people we serve, communicating hope and dignity.

- Walk alongside fellow WSM staff in Christian community as we journey toward maturity.

- Encourage restoration in the lives of coworkers and guests, recognizing we are each restored by God to become restorers.

- Work in full coordination with other WSM staff at all times to identify, report and respond appropriately to any potential threats to the safety and wellbeing of guests.

- Embody, encourage, and cultivate WSM culture, purpose, mission and values in words and actions.

Role Specific Responsibilities:

Guide Implementation Efforts

- Implement and manage strategies for mid-level and monthly donor programs.

- Build relationships with mid-level and monthly donors through phone, email, mail, and events to increase engagement and revenue.

- Execute outreach plans that promote donor appreciation, recognition, and engagement.

Foster Collaboration

- Collaborate on messaging for donor and prospect communications.

- Maintain donor contact and moves management records in the CRM and provide related reporting.

Other Responsibilities

- Create systems for collecting donor feedback, addressing concerns, and strengthening ongoing donor support.

- Manage daily communication schedules and meet weekly call goals

- Review program activities regularly to ensure alignment with organizational priorities.

- Attend donor-related events .

Qualifications :

Education and Experience:

- Bachelor’s degree in the relevant communication or ministry field

- Minimum of two years’ experience in a customer service-related position or ideally donor development

- Knowledge or strong experience with Lancaster County Christian community is a plus.

- Intermediate to expert level proficiency in working with CRM databases including moves management, report queries, and more.

- Intermediate proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, Outlook, and Word.

- Experience with email and texting platforms

- Person of integrity who can present strong character and employment references

The ideal Mid-Level and Monthly Partner Ambassador will possess:

- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills, with the ability to connect compassionately with donors and communicate Water Street Mission’s work with passion.

- Excellent written, verbal, phone, video, and interpersonal communication skills, with sound judgment in working with both internal and external partners.

- Creativity, curiosity, and flexibility in developing effective communications solutions.

- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong project and time management skills, the ability to manage multiple priorities, and an eye for donor program growth.

Reports To: Senior Mid Level and Monthly Partner Ambassador

Water Street Mission is a privately funded 501(c) 3 non-profit, evangelical Christian ministry. Our designated purpose is religious, and we are a Christ-centered ministry that is dedicated to sharing the Gospel and helping the homeless and impoverished.
