Job Description :

Job Summary

Responsible for directing departmental functions to ensure high standards of sterilization, supply management, and business operations across the health system. Plans, organizes, and monitors activities related to surgical services, including budgeting, patient access, charge capture, vendor management, and materials management. Develops strategies for cost containment and revenue maximization while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Measures financial outcomes and utilizes information systems to support operational planning and resource administration. Coordinates efforts to maintain cost-effective practices and achieve organizational goals.

Essential Functions

• Prepares and implements charge capture standard work activities for all surgical and procedural events.

• Maintains and updates billing rules in EPIC and ensures accurate electronic charge capture.

• Collaborates with perioperative and supply chain leadership to standardize documentation and naming conventions.

• Oversees staff recruitment, development, management, and performance evaluations.

• Designs, monitors, and maintains financial management systems, reports, and dashboards.

• Reviews and reconciles clinical contracts, vendor invoices, and monitors service agreements.

• Develops and monitors enterprise KPIs, conducts variance reporting, and identifies financial improvement opportunities.

• Expands professional knowledge through ongoing training, meetings, and professional development.

• This role includes direct supervisory responsibilities.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education Requirement

Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, or a related field

Experience Requirement

4-5 years of experience in healthcare management, or a relevant area

An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

All experience must be paid and in the same related field.

Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week.

Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
