Who are YOU?

You are a Sample Management Laboratory Support Scientist with up to three years of experience providing sample management and laboratory support. You will be located near our Denver Federal Center laboratory .

In this role, you will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of scientists, engineers, project managers, and technical specialists supporting work for the U nited S tates Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) and other Federal, State, local government, and commercial clients . Your work will focus on environmental science, laboratory operations and support, and compliance with NELAP laboratory accreditation requirements .

Qualifications

What does your day/week look like?

- You will perform sample management duties for environmental samples , which includes logging into Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS), preservation verification, and managing sample storage areas and coolers.

- You will perform calibration checks of pipettes, balances, weights and thermometers.

- You will perform waste management duties and assess the need for disposal of analyzed and unused samples.

- You will conduct chemical and property inventories on a regularly scheduled basis.

- You will manage sample shipping containers and coolers.

- You will maintain a clean and organized laboratory work area that adheres to Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).

What do you need for this amazing opportunity?

- A bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related science field

- Legal U.S. citizenship, with ability to obtain and maintain state and federal security clearances

- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs

- Good written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and changing environment; flexible and quickly adaptable to changing priorities

- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

- A valid drivers license and safe driving record
