Distribution Order Picker
Location: Wood Dale, IL
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Starting Pay: $18.60 per hour
HOW YOU WILL MAKE HISTORY HERE…
As a Distribution Order Picker, you will play a critical role in ensuring customer orders are accurately picked, organized, and prepared for distribution. Your attention to detail, commitment to safety, and ability to meet productivity goals will help keep warehouse operations running efficiently while supporting timely delivery of products.
WHAT YOU WILL DO…
- Accurately pick, stack, label, and distribute products within the warehouse.
- Transport materials and products from picking areas to designated warehouse locations.
- Sort and place materials on pallets according to product specifications, including size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Utilize RF scanning technology and/or voice-picking equipment to support order fulfillment activities.
- Follow standard operating procedures and maintain productivity expectations.
- Mark and label materials with appropriate identifying information.
- Operate a riding pallet jack if certified and authorized.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by removing debris and storing supplies in designated locations.
- Keep aisles, exits, and work areas clear of obstructions.
- Follow safe lifting, carrying, and material-handling procedures.
- Inspect equipment and report any defective or unsafe conditions.
- Immediately report workplace injuries, accidents, or property damage.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain).
- Perform other duties as assigned.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE… (MUST HAVE)
- High school diploma or GED equivalent, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and standard operating procedures.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment while meeting productivity goals.
- Ability to safely lift and move products weighing up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 25 pounds frequently.
- Commitment to workplace safety, food safety, and housekeeping standards.
- Ability to utilize warehouse technology, including RF scanners and voice-picking systems.
- Reliable attendance and flexibility to work varying start times and hours based on business needs.
IT WOULD BE GREAT IF YOU HAVE… (NICE TO HAVE)
- Previous warehouse, distribution, order picking, or logistics experience.
- Experience using RF scanners, voice-picking technology, or warehouse management systems.
- Certification or prior experience operating a riding pallet jack or similar warehouse equipment.
- Experience working in a productivity-driven environment.
- Familiarity with 5S or continuous improvement principles.
Physical Requirements
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, climb, balance, and reach throughout the workday as needed.
- Ability to use hands for handling, grasping, and operating equipment.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
- Warehouse environment with a moderate noise level.
- Work schedule and start times may vary based on staffing needs, production requirements, and holiday schedules.
Compensation & Benefits
The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $18.60 per hour .
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
