Description

SCHEDULE: 40 hours, Monday – Friday; 8:30am – 5pm, weekends and holidays as needed. This position is non-essential in the event of an emergency and will work a hybrid schedule in accordance with the Pine Street Inn Remote Working Policy.

Pays $60,000-$74,000 annually DOE, (Salary ranges provided are based on relevant experience and skill set)

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Development Coordinator will support Pine Street Inn’s Corporate and Foundation Giving team, which facilitates fundraising from foundations and corporations. This position coordinates the donor acknowledgements process, manages and reports out of the donor database, supports team meetings and event/sponsorship logistics, and conducts prospect research to support new and existing funding opportunities. The role also proofreads and edits letters, reports and proposals, and coordinates with other departments to gather materials for grant reporting. The position requires strong writing, grammar, research, analytical and database management skills, excellent organizational and project coordination abilities, extremely careful attention to detail, Excel skills, a collaborative mindset and a willingness to work part of the time from home and part from the office. The position requires working on one of the following holidays: Christmas, Christmas Eve or Thanksgiving.

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

REQUIRED:

- Bachelor’s Degree

KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

REQUIRED:

- 2-4 years of previous office, writing/editing, or nonprofit development experience
- Strong writing skills, with excellent grammar and the ability to write clearly for a variety of audiences
- Experience with donor or client database management and reporting (e.g., Raiser’s Edge NXT or a similar CRM)
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines across several concurrent projects
- Experience coordinating events, meetings, or cross-departmental projects
- Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and know when to escalate or seek guidance
- Detail oriented and careful proofreader and editor
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, effective communication and documentation skills
- Comfort handling confidential donor, financial, and organizational information
- Customer service oriented, “can do” attitude
- Ability to work in a changing and busy team environment
- Knowledge of and experience with MS Office, especially MS Word and MS Excel
- Proficient in learning new computer and software systems

PREFERRED:

- Prior fundraising, prospect research, or development experience
- Experience with event registration or management platforms (e.g., GiveSmart)
- Experience with desktop publishing

Salary Description
