Job Description:
The Sustainability Intern will support sustainability initiatives within our dining halls and dining areas. This student-focused internship provides hands-on experience in sustainability while helping identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve recycling practices, promote responsible resource use, and increase sustainability awareness among students and dining teams.
The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about sustainability, comfortable interacting with others, organized, and willing to spend time working within dining locations to observe operations and support sustainability initiatives.
- Provide mid to advanced level administrative and operational support for day-to-day tasks
- May serve as initial contact for in-person guests or callers; provide excellent customer service
- May generate, prepare and analyze reports or perform forecasting
- May create creative content or maintain department website(s)
- May assist with special projects and initiatives supporting departmental goals
- May assist with planning or coordination of events
- May assist with identifying areas of improvement and recommend solutions
- May assist with compliance processes
- May assist with maintaining internal databases and records
- May assist with developing processes and procedures
- Perform all other duties as assigned to support Baylor’s mission
- Ability to comply with University policies
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
