Position Overview:

The Vice President of Corporate Services is an enterprise leader responsible for developing and executing Freddie Mac’s corporate real estate, property development, workplace and Corporate Services strategy. The Vice President serves as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, translating business strategy and workforce needs into long-term real estate and workplace solutions. The role also provides executive oversight of facilities management, physical security, transportation, event and audio-visual support, food, fitness, mail, and reprographic business services, as well as the corporate information resource center. This position will be based in our Mclean, Virginia headquarters, with an on-site work schedule of five days per week.

Your Impact:

The Vice President will shape the long-term direction of the corporate real estate portfolio and workplace environment while ensuring Corporate Services deliver resilient, efficient and high-quality services. You will advise senior leaders on complex real estate, capital investment and workplace decisions, balancing business priorities, financial objectives, employee experience, risk, and long-term portfolio value. In addition, this position manages the design, build- out and furnishing of physical spaces across Freddie Mac's campuses.

Key Responsibilities:

The VP, Corporate Services, supports a multitude of different business areas and is responsible for an array of corporate and business services functions and activities.

Responsibilities include:

- Develop and execute the enterprise corporate real estate strategy, including portfolio optimization, lease negotiations, dispositions, consolidations, subleasing opportunities, and long-term workforce planning.
- Lead the planning and execution of property development, major renovations, construction projects, workplace modernization initiatives, space planning, relocations, and buildouts across the corporate real estate portfolio.

- Provide executive oversight of integrated facilities and workplace services, including physical security, transportation, food and fitness services, events and audio-visual support, information services, mail and document production.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to C-suite and other senior stakeholders on real estate investment, portfolio decisions and workplace strategy.
- Ensure facility resiliency, safety and risk management of foundational processes, including facility-based business continuity planning and management.
- Manage multiple complex processes and programs, create annual budget based on department needs and strategy.
- Use advanced logic to make complex judgements with a noticeable impact on department / functional results.
- Leverage broad knowledge across multiple areas and business lines to foster strategic relationships with peers and senior management.
- Serve as an advisor to leadership, negotiate change across direct area of responsibility.
- Build and lead a high-performing organization, including workforce planning, talent development, succession planning and accountability across employees and contracted service providers.

Qualifications:

- Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing corporate real estate portfolio strategies aligned with enterprise business and workforce objectives.
- Proven experience in contributing to the execution of strategic and operational objectives in facilities and business services management, supplier management, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Strong communication, project management, organizational and negotiation skills required.
- Demonstrated experience at leading an operations function, with end-to-end responsibilities from strategy-setting to daily execution.
- Experience in a highly regulated environment.
- Ability to partner with business leaders and translate their needs into actionable, practical initiatives; capacity to define expectations and key success factors and metrics in business terms.
- Proven experience in leading major change initiatives and innovative approaches in the face of challenging internal and external pressures.
- Strong executive presence and thought leader and ability to communicate ideas and influence as an executive.
- Strong organizational and leadership skills, with decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
- Experience designing and implementing proactive strategies to address business issues, process improvements, and implementation of policies.
- Proven experience delivering executive/stakeholder presentations and materials to provide updates, disseminate information, and demonstrate impact.
- Experience leading a highly engaged team of employees and contracted services (200+ suppliers with 650+ contracted staff) that oversee and execute operations.
- Minimum of 15+ years of relevant experience. College degree or equivalent experience. Advanced degree in business, or related field preferred.

The successful candidate will have the ability to establish credibility at all levels of the organization, a strong leadership profile, exceptional communication skills, and an effective adaptive style across multiple internal and external stakeholder groups, including the board of directors, other senior leaders, and FHFA, our conservator and regulator.

Strong operations management, facilities management, budgeting and forecasting expertise and notable business experience are highly important. Candidate should be adept at challenging the status quo and advocating for continuous improvement while seeking opportunities for personal growth of staff. Candidate must provide strategic services to our internal business partners to help manage and enhance the organization’s work environment and to ensure that business practices align with legal and regulatory expectations.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $200,000 - $300,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
