Trade Planning Associate/Analyst
Kroger Business Center | Snacks | Two Positions in Cincinnati, Ohio

These positions are relocation eligible.
The opportunity
The Trade Planning Associate is a strategic resource to commercial sales teams. You will support trade planning, pricing, promotion, merchandising, and joint business planning for a fast-paced, highly competitive Snacks portfolio. You will help manage approximately a large portion of the sales performance and a significant trade investment and influence decisions that drive net sales, volume, trade efficiency, and market share. The role is on the Kroger customer located in Cincinnati, Ohio.
What you will do
- Build and execute merchandising and promotion plans in partnership with the Snacks commercial team and the Kroger Key Account Lead.
- Support annual customer planning to deliver net sales growth, volume, trade efficiency, and share objectives.
- Use pricing, promotion, and merchandising analytics to identify opportunities across distribution, shelving, assortment, and in-store execution.
- Partner with account management, brand, category management, shopper marketing, ecommerce, innovation, and revenue management teams to accelerate growth.
- Translate data and insights into customer presentations, recommendations, and joint business plans.
- Maintain accurate promotion and investment records, deliver volume estimates, and monitor retailer, competitor, and industry activity.
- Use structured problem-solving methods, including continuous improvement, root-cause analysis, and fishbone analysis, to address business challenges.

What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 1+ year of experience in a related position.
- Experience using internal or external data sources, such as NielsenIQ, Circana, Stratum, or Market6, to identify customer, category, and business opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to organize, analyze, and clearly communicate information to Kroger customer teams and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to learn and use commercial planning systems and apply data to promotion, pricing, and merchandising decisions.
- Strategic thinking, strong problem-solving skills, personal accountability, and a collaborative mindset, with the ability to partner effectively across General Mills and Kroger teams.
