About this role
Reporting to the Department Chair, Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and department supervisor, the Research Administration Manager oversees the department’s pre and post award research administration operations, supporting a diverse portfolio of intra and extramurally funded research. The incumbent serves as a key advisor to faculty and leadership, ensuring effective management of research funding, compliance, and departmental resources.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the pre and post award research administration team.
- Oversee sponsored research proposals, awards, compliance activities, and post award management.
- Advise faculty and leadership on research administration, contracts and grants, fiscal management, and related policies.
- Interpret and apply sponsor, University, and regulatory requirements while resolving complex issues.
- Develop and improve processes to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
- Manage staff performance and ensure responsible stewardship of financial, operational, and human resources.
- Partner with Principal Investigators and departmental leadership to support research growth and funding success.

Salary: $8,183.33- $17,883.33 monthly
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
- 5+ years of experience in Research Administration.
- Proven experience as an effective team leader and supervisor, guiding team members to success.
- Expanded knowledge of financial and accounting concepts, including interpreting financial statements.
- Improved analytical skills to analyze financial data and propose solutions.
- Heightened attention to detail in managing complex administrative and financial tasks.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft suite software.
