Job Description:

The Associate Business Development Manager, Trauma plays a key role in driving business growth, portfolio expansion, and market development across the Trauma franchise. This position partners closely with regional and global stakeholders to develop commercialization strategies, accelerate new product introductions (NPIs), strengthen professional education initiatives, and create differentiated customer engagement programs that improve patient outcomes and business performance.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Portfolio Growth

- Lead the planning and execution of new product launches to drive adoption and achieve business objectives.
- Manage portfolio performance, product lifecycle strategies, and inventory optimization initiatives.
- Identify and capitalize on opportunities for market expansion, procedure growth, and new revenue streams.
- Utilize market intelligence, customer insights, and analytics to develop innovative go-to-market approaches.
- Develop and implement strategies to strengthen performance within key focus segments, including Hand & Wrist, Foot & Ankle, and Spine & Extremities.

Market Development & Customer Engagement

- Build and maintain strong relationships with surgeons, key opinion leaders (KOLs), rising stars, and healthcare stakeholders.
- Design and execute engagement strategies across various stages of a surgeon's professional career.
- Expand both digital and face-to-face engagement platforms to enhance customer experience and education.
- Conduct workshops, training programs, and product in-services for surgeons, residents, nurses, and operating room staff.

Professional & Commercial Education

- Partner with Marketing, Professional Education (ProfEd), and Commercial Education (CommEd) teams across SEA, APAC, and Global organizations.
- Integrate educational initiatives into commercial strategies to drive capability building and market growth.
- Develop advocates and proctors within the Trauma portfolio and focus segments.
- Deliver training programs that enhance the effectiveness of Sales and Clinical teams, including evidence-based and value-focused selling approaches.

Cross-Functional Leadership

- Collaborate closely with Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access, Commercial Excellence, Supply Chain, Finance, and Customer Service teams.
- Influence and align diverse stakeholders to achieve strategic business objectives.
- Support business planning, business reviews, and commercial excellence initiatives.
- Develop and present data-driven business recommendations to internal and external stakeholders.

Governance & Financial Management

- Manage A&P, CME, and CAPEX budgets to maximize return on investment.
- Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with Johnson & Johnson Health Care Compliance (HCC) standards.
- Monitor business performance metrics and contribute to achievement of annual operating plan targets.

Qualifications

Required

- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Nursing, Medicine, Biomedical Engineering, Medical Technology, Biomedical Sciences, or a related healthcare discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in Orthopaedic Trauma within a clinical, healthcare, or medical device environment.
- Strong understanding of Trauma products, surgical procedures, customer pathways, and competitive market dynamics.
- Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively across cross-functional and regional teams.
- Proficiency in English.

Preferred

- 2-5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Product Management, or Business Development within the medical device industry.
- Experience supporting surgeon education, clinical training, or healthcare professional development programs.
- Track record of driving successful product launches and market development initiatives.
