About the Role:
The Business Systems Manager is responsible for the ownership, implementation, integration, and continuous improvement of RSM&’s core business systems and technology-enabled workflows. This role serves as the business owner for the platforms that power how RSM& sells, plans, executes, tracks, and measures its work—including RSM&’s proprietary operating system, R.96; HubSpot; Asana; QuickBooks Online (QBO); and other business applications. Sitting at the intersection of technology, operations, data, and process, this role partners across the organization to translate business needs into practical, scalable solutions that simplify work, improve visibility and accountability, and support RSM&’s growth.
Responsibilities & Duties:
- Own the business systems roadmap, administration, and continuous improvement of RSM&’s core business systems, including R.96, Asana, HubSpot, QBO, and other business applications
- Lead the ongoing development and optimization of R.96, translating business and operational needs into scalable functionality, workflows, and reporting
- Own Asana and other program/project management systems and establish consistent workflows, standards, visibility, accountability, and adoption across teams
- Own HubSpot governance, automation, reporting, data quality, and integration with downstream operational and financial processes
- Support and optimize QBO and related financial-system workflows in partnership with Finance, including integrations, reporting, and data flow across business systems
- Lead system integrations and automation initiatives that reduce manual work, eliminate duplicate entry, improve data flow, and increase operational efficiency
- Establish and maintain data governance, reporting standards, system ownership, and clearly defined sources of truth across the organization
- Partner with functional leaders to identify process gaps and determine whether the right solution is a system enhancement, workflow improvement, automation, integration, or process change
- Manage relationships with technology vendors, implementation partners, and developers, including system requirements, priorities, timelines, performance, and issue resolution
- Lead and support system implementations, enhancements, testing, deployment, and change management, including helping spearhead future ERP implementation in partnership with leadership and Finance
- Establish system documentation, standard operating procedures, and training resources to support consistent use and reduce dependency on individual system knowledge
- Partner with IT and appropriate vendors to maintain user access, permissions, system controls, data integrity, and appropriate security practices
- Develop reporting and dashboards that provide leadership with actionable visibility into business performance, capacity, utilization, workflow, and operational effectiveness
- Evaluate RSM&’s business systems ecosystem and recommend technology investments, consolidation, replacements, or enhancements in partnership with leadership as business needs evolve
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, Information Systems, Technology, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience considered
- 5+ years of progressive experience in business systems, operations, technology enablement, systems implementation, or a related function; equivalent relevant experience considered
- Demonstrated experience owning and improving multiple business platforms within a growing organization
- Hands-on experience owning and improving business applications such as CRM, project/program management, financial systems, resource management, time-tracking, reporting, and workflow automation platforms
- Experience with Asana, HubSpot, and QuickBooks Online (QBO) strongly preferred
- Strong understanding of systems integrations, data flow, automation, and reporting
- Proven ability to translate business needs into practical system requirements and scalable solutions
- Experience supporting or leading system implementations, process improvements, and organizational change initiatives; ERP implementation experience preferred
- Strong project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, vendors, and stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
