The Senior Director, FP&A leads corporate financial planning and analysis activities across Westlake, with responsibility for enterprise-level FP&A deliverables and for partnering with segment and business unit finance teams (e.g., Performance & Essential Materials and Housing & Infrastructure Products segments). The incumbent serves as a key strategic finance leader and business partner to executive leadership, shaping Westlake’s financial plans in support of its long-term strategy and capital deployment priorities.

This role is accountable for driving an integrated, disciplined budgeting and target-setting process across the enterprise. The Senior Director, FP&A works closely with segment and business unit leaders to translate strategic and operational plans into clear financial targets, challenge underlying assumptions, and establish robust cost and productivity objectives. Through enhanced budget frameworks, standardized methodologies, and transparent performance dashboards, the incumbent increases ownership and accountability for results, improves cost visibility and accountability, and enables proactive cost management and margin optimization.

The Senior Director, FP&A also leads the development and continuous improvement of Westlake’s enterprise forecasting capabilities. This includes designing and refining driver-based forecasting models, coordinating regular forecast cycles with segment and business unit finance teams, identifying and implementing technological solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness in the FP&A process, and implementing scenario and sensitivity analyses to assess the impact of market conditions, commodity price movements, and operational initiatives on earnings and cash flow. The incumbent plays a central role in supporting more accurate, insight-driven earnings guidance by ensuring forecasts are analytically rigorous, aligned with business realities, and effectively synthesized for the Executive Management team and other key stakeholders. Strong communication and collaboration skills are necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Lead the preparation, and presentation when required, of financial reports, executive‑level presentations, and related analysis for Senior Management and the Board of Directors for periodic Board meetings, monthly and quarterly business reviews, and other senior leadership forums.
- Work across senior financial leadership including the Segment CFOs and Business Unit Finance Directors to standardize processes, financial information, and associated reporting and KPI metrics to ensure a coherent view of performance analytics. performance drivers. and insight.
- Develop and maintain a robust KPI framework and executive dashboards that tightly link operational metrics to financial outcomes and strategic objectives.
- Synthesize complex financial, operational, and market information into clear insights and recommendations supporting corporate strategy and capital allocation decisions.
- Support the CFO, CEO, and other members of the executive team in capital allocation decisions, including evaluation and prioritization of capital projects, strategic investments and productivity initiatives.
- Serve as a primary FP&A contact for the CEO, CFO, CAO, Treasurer and segment leadership on planning, forecasting and performance topics.
- Identify, assess and implement technological tools to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the FP&A function in collaboration with other stakeholders such as the Sr. Director of Business Transformation, CAO, and Segment CFOs.  Identify and utilize Artificial Intelligence and other digital tools in value-added ways.
- Lead the development of short- and long-range strategic plans at the corporate level, integrating inputs from segments and businesses and reflecting market, macroeconomic, and industry specific dynamics.
- Own and consolidate the Annual Operating Plan and Capital Plan across Westlake.
- Lead recurring forecasting processes, including scenario planning and sensitivity analyses to support strategic decisions, resource allocation, and risk management.
- Research and interpret relevant market, societal, and macroeconomic trends; incorporate insights into forecasts, strategic plans, and executive briefings.
- Oversee FP&A contributions to investor related materials (e.g., earnings presentations, investor updates, Q&A documents), and develop talking points for Senior Management in coordination with Investor Relations.
- Provide analysis and decision support for Corporate Development projects, including due diligence, cash flow forecasting, valuation, and market analyses.
- Provide ad hoc reports and analysis to senior management on strategic, operational and financial topics.
- Take leadership roles in complex, cross functional projects (e.g., profitability improvement, capital investment evaluation, portfolio optimization, cost savings initiatives).
- Develop high quality, executive ready materials that clearly articulate findings, implications, and recommended actions.
- Build and lead a high‑performing FP&A organization with a strong business‑partnership mindset, focused on insight, impact and accountability.
- Attract, develop and mentor top finance talent across FP&A through technical development, rotational assignments and robust succession planning for critical roles.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or FP&A, with substantial experience supporting senior leadership in a complex, multi‑segment or multi‑business environment.
- CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred.
- Demonstrated success leading strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting processes at a corporate, segment, or large business‑unit level.
- Experience in manufacturing, chemicals, building products, or other industrial sectors preferred.
