Role: Product Marketing Manager – Inflammation (Contract)

Location: Mississauga Flexible Commuter

Reports to: Executive Medical Director

Contract Duration: 12-18 months

What you will do

In this vital role, you will lead the development and execution of customer-centric brand strategies across Amgen Canada’s Inflammation portfolio.

Working closely with the Business Unit Director and cross-functional partners, you will drive the commercial performance of assigned brands across their lifecycle by translating market, customer, patient, competitive and business insights into actionable strategies and execution. You will lead through influence, partner closely with the field organization, and ensure strong alignment across functions to deliver brand objectives and optimize the customer and patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead the development and execution of integrated brand strategies, annual brand plans and tactical initiatives across assigned Inflammation products, including lifecycle management and launch readiness activities.
- Lead cross-functional Brand Teams and partner across Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Access, Patient Services, Regulatory, Finance/BAI, Supply, Compliance and other functions to align priorities and deliver brand objectives.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the Inflammation marketplace and translate customer, patient, field, market research, competitive, scientific, access and performance insights into strategic priorities and business decisions.
- Partner closely with Sales leadership and field teams to translate brand strategy into effective field execution, including customer engagement priorities, resources, training and sales meeting/workshop initiatives and content
- Lead the development and execution of customer-centric marketing initiatives, including promotional resources, congress activities, digital and omnichannel engagement, while translating scientific evidence into relevant and compliant commercial communications.
- Partner with Market Access and Patient Services to incorporate reimbursement dynamics, patient access barriers, payer considerations and the patient journey into brand strategy and support the optimization of patient support initiatives.
- Lead financial and business planning for assigned brands, including sales and demand forecasting, LE/LRP and scenario planning, budget management, supply considerations, business cases and ongoing performance analysis.
- Develop and track meaningful KPIs, proactively identifying performance trends, opportunities, risks and execution gaps and recommending actions to optimize brand performance.
- Develop strategic stakeholder engagement plans and build appropriate relationships with KOLs, key accounts, agencies, vendors and other external partners to generate insights and support brand objectives.
- Collaborate with Global and regional teams, representing Canadian market needs and adapting global strategies, initiatives and assets to the local environment where appropriate.
- Leverage digital capabilities, analytics and AI to enhance insight generation, customer experience, marketing effectiveness and operational efficiency.
- Ensure all strategies, tactics, materials and external engagements are executed in accordance with Amgen policies and applicable regulatory, legal, compliance and industry requirements.

Basic Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, Pharmacy or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of relevant pharmaceutical commercial experience, with marketing experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and influence internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong strategic, analytical, project management and problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong written, verbal and presentation communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a highly matrixed environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previous marketing experience within Inflammation, Immunology, Gastroenterology, Rheumatology or Dermatology. Biosimilar experience would be an advantage.
- Knowledge of the Canadian specialty pharmaceutical, biosimilar, reimbursement and patient access environment.
- Experience managing brands across different lifecycle stages, including launch readiness and established brand management.
- Experience partnering with field sales organizations and translating strategy into field execution.
- Experience with patient support programs and market access considerations.
- Strong financial experience, including forecasting, budgeting, scenario planning and performance analysis.
- Experience with market research, customer insight generation, digital/omnichannel marketing and agency/vendor management.
- Knowledge of Canadian regulatory, legal and industry requirements applicable to pharmaceutical marketing.
