About this role

Are you an experienced retail professional who enjoys leading a team, providing exceptional customer service, and keeping operations running smoothly? The University of Maine at Farmington is seeking a Retail Services Supervisor to provide essential professional oversight for the University Store, Mailroom, and campus Card Services.

This auxiliary position combines hands-on leadership with responsibility for key day-to-day operations. Beyond supervising, scheduling, training, and managing student staff, the Retail Services Supervisor helps ensure efficient and customer-focused services across these important campus operations. The position oversees retail activities, textbook ordering and returns, inventory and merchandise displays, online orders, financial records and transactions, and special events and sales.

The successful candidate will be a strong team leader who can prioritize competing responsibilities, resolve complex customer and student needs, maintain accurate operational and financial records, and model excellent customer service.

Qualifications

- Six months of specialized training or education beyond high school.

- Three years of retail experience.

- One year of supervisory or lead-level experience.

- Additional qualifying experience may substitute for the required education.

- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in customer service, supervision, scheduling, merchandising, retail operations, and related financial practices.

Starting Salary: $20.39 per hour
