How to become a Flight Attendant with us

We've designed a clear pathway to help you launch your aviation career, even if you've never worked as a Flight Attendant before.

- Recruitment: Our recruitment process includes application screening, interviews, and reference checks. Candidates who are successful throughout the selection process will join Rise Air as Flight Attendant Trainees and begin their journey toward becoming a Flight Attendant. Please note that only candidates selected to move forward will be contacted.
- Ground School: As a Flight Attendant Trainee, you will be attending in-house Ground School where you will learn all the basics of being a Flight Attendant. This is a full-time class spanning 2-3 months. We'll provide all required Transport Canada-approved training at no cost to you, while paying you throughout the learning process at the Flight Attendant Trainee rate ($20.00 per hour). Must be able to achieve a minimum of 85% on all written exams.
- Line Indoctrination: Once Ground School and all examinations are successfully completed, the final step is to put your skills into practice and complete the line indoctrination.
- Flight Attendant: Congratulations! You are now officially a Flight Attendant and are compensated at the full Flight Attendant rate ($27.00 per hour). Time to set up your work schedule and explore Saskatchewan’s beautiful living skies.

What you'll do

- Respond to the direction of the Pilot-in-command during the performance of in-flight duties and responsibilities.
- Coordinate and provide cabin, ground, and in-flight passenger services, ensuring company customer service standards are met.
- Perform ongoing safety-related duties in accordance with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs), including cabin checks, announcements, and escorting passengers to and from the aircraft for boarding and deplaning.
- Perform on board pre-flight safety checks prior to departure to comply with company standards and government regulations.
- Attend and participate in pre-flight crew briefings.
- Perform all duties in a state of preparedness in the event of an emergency evacuation or critical incident, ensuring that passenger safety is a priority.
- Attend and actively participate in all required regulatory and company training.
- Prepare and submit appropriate flight documents and reports. Advise the Pilot in command of any abnormal incidents or events and prepare a written report if required.
- Ensure all manuals are up-to-date and abide by all information and directives received through company bulletins.
- Ensure that the flight attendant manual is carried on all flights.
- Advise the Cabin Safety Manager of any matter that could affect the operation of the company.

What you'll bring

- Highschool diploma.
- One to two years’ progressive customer service experience.
- Previous work experience or training in aviation is preferred.
- First Aid/CPR C Certification is an asset.
- A working knowledge of the Dene and/or Cree languages is an asset.
- Other safety-related training is an asset.

As this is a safety sensitive position, selected candidates must test negative for designated drug and alcohol tests prior to employment.

The successful candidates’ will be required to attend and successfully complete initial and annual Transport Canada-approved training and examinations as a condition of employment.

What you'll get

During the required initial Transport Canada-approved training this role will receive a Flight Attendant Trainee rate of $20.00 per hour. Upon successful completion of required training and testing, the expected compensation rate as a Flight Attendant is $27.00 per hour.

While casual Flight Attendants are not eligible for our company total rewards package, they gain access to fully paid aviation training, valuable industry experience, flexible scheduling, and opportunities to pursue future career growth within Rise Air and Snowbird Aviation Services.
