Where You Will Work

Located approximately 50 miles northeast of Safford, Arizona on U.S. Highway 191, Morenci operations (an open-pit copper mining complex) has been in continuous operation since 1939. The operation consists of two concentrators, crushed-ore leach pad and stacking system, a low-grade run-of-mine (ROM) leaching system; four SX plants; and three EW tank houses that produce copper cathode.

Description

Under the supervision of the Enrichment Program Specialist, responsible for the development, direction and operation of before and after-school programs.

Responsible for the overall effective operation and quality of the before and after-school programs

- Assists in the development and execution of initiatives relating to the library, teen programs and workshops

- May assist in the administration of the budget of assigned responsibility; makes necessary adjustments in a timely fashion

- Maintains an ongoing line of communication with all stakeholders to enhance the sites programming scope and resource base

- Establishes a network of resources such as community agencies, organizations and service groups to enhance the sites program

- Performs public relations duties; responds to complaints and inquiries

- Assists in the training of Enrichment Program staff

- Assists in the coordination of community events

- Performs other duties as required

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

- Four (4) years of related experience; OR

- Bachelor's degree in related field of study and two (2) years of related experience

- Working knowledge of Enrichment Programs and their management

- Strong customer service, listening, and problem solving skills

- Competency in management, administration, promotion, and program development

- Experience in building relationships with families of all ages and abilities

- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing

- Competent in the use of MS Office software and other database software

- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions, and to respond to safety and emergency situations

Preferred

- High School Diploma or equivalent

Criteria/Conditions

- Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in English

- Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards

- Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment

- Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk

- Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 20 pounds) during the course of the work day

What We Offer You

The estimated pay range for this role is currently  $24.00 - $32.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process.
