You as a Commercial Manager, Facilities will:

- Serve as the primary commercial lead and key point of contact for clients, consortium partners, subcontractors, and operational stakeholders, providing guidance on contractual obligations, commercial matters, and risk management.
- Interpret complex contracts and commercial agreements, advising management and project teams on contract compliance, entitlements, obligations, risks, and dispute avoidance strategies.
- Lead the administration, negotiation, and management of contracts, subcontracts, change orders, variations, and commercial agreements to support operational and financial objectives.
- Oversee claims management processes, including the preparation, assessment, negotiation, and resolution of claims, defects, warranty matters, and contractual entitlements.
- Lead cost control, forecasting, financial monitoring, and commercial reporting activities to support project performance and achievement of commercial targets.
- Manage change management and variation control processes, ensuring proper documentation, valuation, and contractual compliance.
- Support dispute resolution activities, including negotiations, mediation, arbitration, litigation support, and alternative dispute resolution processes as required.
- Collaborate with operations, engineering, project management, finance, procurement, legal, and executive stakeholders to support effective commercial decision-making and project delivery.
- Develop, procure, negotiate, and manage service agreements and subcontractor relationships to support operational requirements and contractual commitments.
- Assist operational leadership in evaluating project scenarios, developing commercial strategies, and communicating contractual positions to clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen commercial processes, risk management practices, governance, and operational performance.
- Prepare executive reports, commercial analyses, and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor industry trends, contractual developments, and best practices related to P3/PPP and performance-based service delivery models.
- Support business development, bid pursuits, and transition activities by providing commercial and contractual expertise as required.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Is this role right for you?

- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Law, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in commercial management, contract administration, project controls, or related roles within infrastructure, transportation, facilities management, engineering, construction, or professional services environments.
- Experience supporting Operations and Maintenance services within Public-Private Partnership (P3/PPP) projects, rail operations, transportation infrastructure, or other performance-based service delivery environments.
- Strong knowledge of contract management principles and industry-standard contract forms, including P3/PPP agreements, service contracts, and subcontract agreements.
- Demonstrated experience managing complex commercial risks, claims, variations, dispute resolution processes, and contract negotiations.
- Strong financial acumen, including experience with forecasting, budgeting, cost control, profitability analysis, and commercial reporting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills, with the ability to assess risk and develop practical solutions.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build effective working relationships across all levels of an organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and collaborate effectively within cross-functional and matrixed environments.
- Strong working knowledge of operational service delivery models and contract performance management.
- The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $160,000.
