About this role
UMB’s Trust Operations Team is the back-office support for our nationally recognized Corporate Trust and Institutional Custody service providers. As a Securities Services Operations Analyst, you will join the Income Team within our Shared Services division. This team interacts with various UMB clients and internal partners to evaluate and process requests that could include cash processing, trade execution, new security establishment, or applying dividend income. It is a smaller team that works closely together to ensure everyone's success. With our robust training to provide extensive UMB and financial knowledge, the Trust Operations Team provides trading support for our custody and trust customers.
Securities Services Operations Analysts have a specific and impactful function for our clients and UMB; to ensure accurate processing and be subject matter experts in operational processes for our clients and internal partners. This position assists clients with any questions and issues they may face while creating an unparalleled client experience. You will analyze reports, process transactions, apply income or incoming payments, or initiate outgoing cash payments. You are also cross-trained amongst other team members responsibilities for backup when needed. This team also partners closely with the Corporate Actions Team to execute voluntary/mandatory events and reduce financial exposure.

How you’ll spend your time:
· Use problem-solving skills to determine what action needs to be taken when processing client requests.
· Perform a variety of processing, data entry, basic to moderately complex financial calculations, and clerical duties related to securities and cash transactions.
· Review and approve transactions.
· Train other associates and review associates’ work at the direction of the manager.
· Identify system issues or defects and provide appropriate level of documentation to the appropriate support group.
· Ability to provide a broad level of assistance during testing of system upgrades or implementation of new systems.
· Work on special projects at the direction of the manager.

You have at least two years of financial services experience
You have securities processing experience
OR any combination of education and experience that provides an equivalent background.

Compensation Range:
$59,085 - $86,922
