What you’ll do

- Manage all aspects of the Division to include strategic/ financial management , industry and civic relations, land positioning, architecture, customer satisfaction, and more
- Recruit and select experienced senior management and key operational consulting team members with high potential for success
- Ensure all Division team members are properly recruited, hired, trained and open positions are filled in a timely manner
- Ensure the most efficient organizational structure is maintained for each operating department based upon original projections and periodic reforecast of the business plan
- Plan and prepare for staff changes, office space changes and office location changes as needed to handle growth projections and pipeline management demands
- Conduct growth reviews for all direct reports and assist them in establishing goals, objectives , and action plans
- Ensure all managers are conducting quarterly growth reviews for their team members and assisting them in establishing measurable and achievable goals
- Administer self-improvement programs for all direct reports to ensure their personal and professional development; assist all managers in providing suitable improvement programs for all Division team members
- Serve in a mentoring role for the purpose of identifying and developing team members for advancement into upper management positions
- Handle any necessary personnel terminations according to established procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned

What you bring

- Bachelor’s degree required
- Senior level experience in the home building industry, preferably for larger/national builders
- 7+ years as a senior level manager within the home building industry with demonstrated excellence in management and operational skills
- Proven strong leadership and motivational skills
- Strong oral and written communication skills along with an effective presentation style
- Demonstrated ability to focus on goal achievement and meet or exceed assigned objectives
- Capable of inspiring, demanding and obtaining excellent performance and results from Division team members
- Ability to identify and resolve issues, establish priorities and make decisions in a timely manner
- Ability to work effectively with the pressures inherent in a senior executive level management position, and effectively handle conflict or contentious situations
- Possess excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and be able to effectively develop strategic plans
- Ability to effectively delegate, manage teams, and hold team members accountable for results
- Strong analytical skills and good judgment
- Capable of effectively communicating to a wide variety of outside audiences, including public agencies, neighborhood groups, industry groups, and media sources

Bonus points

- Master’s degree (or equivalent) with an emphasis in Real Estate, Management, Finance, Civil Engineering, real estate law or a related field
- Experience in a leadership role with a larger/national builder
