About this role
Meta's Reality Labs Hardware team is seeking an Audio Electrical Engineer to design and deliver high-performance audio electronics for next-generation wearables, including smart glasses, AR glasses, VR headsets, and wearables. In this role, you will own the electrical architecture and circuit design of audio subsystems—spanning microphone arrays, speaker drivers, amplifiers, and analog front-end circuits—from early concept through mass production. You will work at the intersection of acoustics, analog and mixed-signal electronics, algorithms, and embedded audio systems to shape the audio experience on devices worn by millions of users worldwide.
Responsibilities
Debug all circuits for audio chain (including codecs, embedded DSPs, headphone amps, speaker amps and microphones) as well as external circuits pertaining to audio chain (including PMIC, buck/boost converters, switches)
Understand electrical performance targets using data driven design goals and how they impact system performance
Primary cross functional interface with PD/ID/System EE/MTE/SWE
Define electrical performance targets using literature and data-driven design goals for end product
Debugging of full audio system (ie render, capture, power consumption, power delivery, tuning, algorithms)
Product factory test design, specification, and implementation
Collaboration with internal/external specialized HW teams (System EE, Power/Battery)
Collaboration with internal/external SW teams including Audio System Bring Up and Debug
Create product factory test specifications
