Manages the College of Engineering Co-op and Internship Program, providing strategic leadership and oversight of experiential learning initiatives that connect students with career-relevant employment opportunities. Directs and administers the Peer Career Coach Program, including the recruitment, hiring, training, development, and supervision of up to six undergraduate Peer Career Coaches.
Establishes and implements co-op and internship program policies, practices, and services for students and employers. Promotes awareness of the value and impact of experiential learning among students, employers, faculty, and staff, emphasizing its role in career readiness, professional development, and long-term career success.
Maintains program excellence through proactive outreach, marketing, relationship management, and high-quality service delivery to students and employer partners. Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of program data and outcomes for use in departmental publications, websites, assessment efforts, promotional materials, and stakeholder communications.
Serves as the primary liaison to university partners and state, regional, and national cooperative education and internship organizations. Identifies and pursues opportunities for engineering student recognition, awards, and scholarship programs. Develops and sustains collaborative partnerships with academic departments, college leadership, and campus stakeholders to support student engagement and success.
Responds to inquiries from current students, parents, and prospective families, providing guidance on experiential learning opportunities and program participation. Oversee administration of ENGR 4191, collaborating with support staff to manage course operations and providing direction on curriculum implementation, syllabus development, student assessment, and final grade determination. Communicates directly with co-op and internship supervisors regarding student performance, supervisory expectations, evaluations, and workplace concerns.
Leads the planning and execution of co-op and internship-related events, programs, and workshops. Provides individual career coaching and delivers presentations and workshops to student groups. Cultivate and expands employer partnerships through site visits, on-campus engagement, and virtual meetings to increase internship and co-op opportunities for engineering students. Consults with employers on the development, enhancement, and implementation of effective co-op and internship programs to support talent recruitment and workforce development.
Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Higher Education/Education; Communications; Counseling/Psychology; Business Administration/Management; Human Resources/Recruiting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 6 years of relevant experience. Proven track record in program planning and administration. Experience in employer relations. Experience with career advising. Experience with training, supervising, and/or team development. Strong organizational abilities, presentation skills, and attention to detail. Demonstrated a collaborative, team-oriented approach to service delivery.
Desired Qualifications Master’s degree in Higher Education/Education; Communications; Counseling/Psychology; Business Administration/Management; Human Resources/Recruiting. Experience in college career services. Proficiency with web-based career services platforms (e.g., Handshake, GoinGlobal, Big Interview, 12: Twenty, etc.). Past affiliations with professional organizations related to co-op, internship, or career. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Hiring Range: $58,700.00 - $77, 520.00 annually
The actual salary paid to an individual will vary based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, internal equity, etc.
