The Opportunity

As a Physician Assistant in Urgent Care , you will provide comprehensive care to patients with a wide range of acute illnesses and injuries. You will work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients while delivering an exceptional patient experience.

This PRN role provides the opportunity to contribute to a growing community while maintaining the flexibility that comes with PRN scheduling.

What You’ll Do

- Perform comprehensive and problem-focused medical histories and physical examinations.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute illnesses and injuries within your scope of practice.
- Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic testing.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and recommend appropriate therapies and treatments.
- Perform procedures appropriate to your scope of practice and level of expertise.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, and preventive care.
- Monitor patient response to treatment and modify care plans as appropriate.
- Recognize conditions requiring consultation, referral, or a higher level of care.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
- Collaborate with physicians and members of the healthcare team to provide safe, effective, patient-centered care.
- Provide coverage based on the needs of the department and PRN scheduling requirements.

What You’ll Bring

- Current Texas Physician Assistant license and DEA.
- Current NCCPA certification.
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment.
- Commitment to evidence-based, compassionate, patient-centered care.

QUALIFICATIONS

- EDUCATION - Grad of an Accredited Program
- EXPERIENCE - Less than 1 Year of Experience
- CERTIFICATION/LICENSE/REGISTRATION -

Basic Life Support (BLS): Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire or transfer.
