About this role
Cerda, an Arcosa Shoring brand , is looking for a Sales Support Coordinator . This role provides administrative and operational support to the Sales Manager and sales team. This position is responsible for managing order information, maintaining customer records, tracking sales activity, supporting customer communications, and ensuring timely follow-up on customer inquiries. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and proficient in Excel and data management. This position reports to the Cerda Sales Manager.
Location: Houston, TX
What you'll do:
- Support the Sales Manager and sales team through administrative and operational activities.
- Process customer orders, quotes, and related sales documentation accurately and timely.
- Maintain and update order tracking spreadsheets, customer databases, pricing records, and sales reports.
- Monitor open orders and communicate status updates to customers and internal stakeholders.
- Serve as a point of contact for customers regarding order status, product information, and general inquiries.
- Coordinate with Operations, Production, Shipping, and Accounting to resolve customer issues and ensure on-time order fulfillment.
- Track sales activity, customer opportunities, leads, and key performance metrics.
- Prepare and distribute reports regarding order status, sales results, and customer activity.
- Assist with customer onboarding, contract documentation, and maintenance of customer records.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by assisting with CRM, ERP, and other system updates.
- Maintain professional relationships with customers and provide exceptional customer service.
- Perform other administrative and sales support duties as assigned.
What you'll need:
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in sales support, customer service, administrative support, inside sales, or a related field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with strong Excel skills, including data entry, spreadsheets, formulas, and reporting.
- Experience managing customer information and order tracking systems.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to communicate customer requirements effectively across departments.
- Ability to read and understand shop drawings or technical documentation preferred.
- Experience working with ERP, CRM, or order management systems preferred.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Regular and predictable attendance.
- Ability to perform all essential functions safely and efficiently.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time position, salary position
- Work environment includes plant, warehouse, production and non-production areas and plant grounds which operate 3 shifts and frequent weekend shifts
- This position may require work coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
- Candidates should be comfortable working in industrial environments, which may include exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
