About the Role:
The Individual Giving Specialist cultivates, engages, and stewards monthly donors to strengthen donor relationships, increase retention, and grow revenue for the Atlanta Community Food Bank’s Partners in Sharing monthly giving program, which includes more than 4,800 donors and generates more than $200,000 in monthly recurring gift revenue. The primary focus of this role is engaging monthly donors and providing exemplary customer service to stakeholders
This role also supports donor communications, recurring gift management, data integrity, reporting, workplace matching gift opportunities, and stewardship activities. The Specialist serves as a key point of contact for donor inquiries and works closely with the Individual Giving Team, Donor Services, and the broader Development Department to support a positive donor experience and long-term giving.
This position reports to the Manager II, Annual Giving Manager.
What You’ll Do:
Monthly Giving Program Execution & Retention:
- Utilize donor retention strategies that support the recruitment, retention, reactivation, and upgrade of monthly donors in alignment with direct response fundraising efforts.
- Support the development and execution of donor communications, including email and direct mail, for the Partners in Sharing program.
- Implement donor lifecycle touchpoints, including onboarding communications for new monthly donors and ongoing engagement activities.
- Support targeted outreach to recapture and reactivate lapsed donors.
- Conduct proactive outreach to encourage donor upgrades and additional giving opportunities that increase donor value.
- Engage with at-risk donors, including those experiencing declined payments or lapsing activity, to support continued giving and reduce donor attrition.
- Coordinate and support stewardship activities, including Volunteer Days and Food Bank tours, managing logistics, communications, and follow-up. Take a more active role in planning the annual Partners in Sharing Volunteer Day.
Donor Experience & Inquiry Management:
- Manage and triage shared inboxes, including approximately 50–100+ weekly messages, donor inquiries, service requests, and community outreach.
- Respond to inquiries within 24–48 business hours, providing assistance when appropriate and routing inquiries to the appropriate team or individual for resolution.
- Monitor the Partners in Sharing inbox and take a more active role in resolving donor requests and questions related to the monthly giving program.
- Record donor interactions and relevant activity in Raiser’s Edge to support continuity of communication and reporting.
- Process updates and modifications to recurring gifts within Luminate Online and Raiser’s Edge.
- Conduct outreach to donors with failed recurring gifts to support payment recovery and continuity of giving.
- Support the execution and maintenance of the Partners in Sharing welcome email series to ensure timely onboarding of new monthly donors.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for workplace matching gift opportunities, responding to inquiries and conducting proactive outreach and follow-up to maximize completed matches and matching gift revenue.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate donor information across Luminate Online and Raiser’s Edge by identifying and resolving duplicate records and other data discrepancies.
- Record and manage donor interaction data in the appropriate database systems.
- Produce and maintain established monthly reports on Partners in Sharing program performance, including donor retention, revenue, activity, and transaction outcomes.
- Review recurring gift activity, including failed transactions, recaptures, cancellations, upgrades, and new donor onboarding, and provide information for team review and discussion.
- Collaborate with Donor Services to support accurate coding, segmentation, and data structure for reporting and donor communications.

Skills your resume should demonstrate:
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to think logically, solve problems, analyze information, and communicate findings clearly.
- Experience working with a CRM or constituent database, with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage donor or customer information.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Proven ability to provide outstanding service to internal or external stakeholders and build positive relationships.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge supporting donor retention, stewardship, recurring giving, membership, subscription, or similar customer engagement programs.
- Experience with Raiser’s Edge, Raiser’s Edge NXT, Luminate Online, or similar fundraising/CRM platforms is a plus.
- Experience with transaction, payment, or constituent reconciliation is a plus.
