Job Description
The Real Estate Corporate Operations (Corporate) team brings together specialists across functions including finance, human resources, technology, and other shared services that support Brookfield’s real estate operating businesses. Working across sectors – including office, logistics, hospitality, housing, and retail – the Corporate team partners closely with business leaders and asset managers to drive operational expertise and deliver long-term value.

We are seeking a Vice-President, Property Tax to immediately join Brookfield in Denver or Chicago to lead team beginning 1/1/2028 . Role & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating and effecting property tax strategies across core real estate sectors with an emphasis on driving best in class property tax performance by improving bottom-line profitability
- Lead a geographically dispersed property tax team focused on performance and team development
- Manage the property tax appeal process and the property compliance process including budgeting for covered assets without proportional cost growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Asset Management and Investments to support platform decision making
- Continual assessment of scope of assets with an emphasis on growth using AI enabled and developed strategies
Your Qualifications:
- Undergraduate/Graduate degree in accounting, finance or related field
- E xperience in all aspects of team management and personnel growth
- Technical background in ad valorem taxation of real and personal property tax and property tax accounting
- Property tax appeals experience -- direct representation before multiple jurisdictions in multiple states, for multiple property classes as well as external advisor selection and management
- Demonstrated flexibility related to changing priorities
- Excellent communication skills
- Curiosity about technological innovations in property tax space
- Advanced knowledge of property tax advisors and databases

Our compensation structure is comprised of a base salary and a short-term incentive program (cash bonus). Cash compensation tends to vary based on geography to account for local market conditions and is set to be market competitive. Compensation decisions are based on a number of factors including relative experience, overall years of experience, industry experience, education and designations.
