Job Summary
The Clinical Educator is responsible for overseeing and advancing all clinical staff education, training, and professional development initiatives across the organization. This role serves as the primary team member for training clinical operations, ensuring high-quality onboarding, annual competencies, regulatory education, leadership development, and culture-building programs.
In addition to training expertise, the Clinical Educator models emotional steadiness, professionalism, accountability, and leadership presence. This position requires someone who can remain calm under pressure, maintain healthy professional boundaries, and positively influence team morale through consistent energy and conduct.
Responsibilities:
· Create training manuals, lesson plans, e-learning modules, and skill assessment tools in partnership with the Senior Clinical Services Director, Clinical Services Director, Outpatient Director and Admissions Director.
· Lead orientation, classroom instruction, and hands-on workshops for new hires and current staff.
· Trains Admissions Clinicians on urgent assessments and legal triage
· Trains Inpatient Clinicians on acute crisis stabilization & immediate safety
· Trains Outpatient Clinicians on long-term recover & functional tracking
· Educates clinicians on therapeutic modality (DBT, CBT, EMDR, etc.) moving them from initial theory to daily, pliant clinical practice.
· Teach therapists how to weave the new modality directly into immediate crisis safety planning and de-escalation protocols.
· Instruct therapists on how to write progress notes that prove to insurance companies that the specialized modality is clinically necessary and actively reducing symptoms over time.
· Offer real-time "at-the-elbow" coaching and troubleshooting for clinicians navigating new operational workflows or equipment.
· Administer tests, observe practical performance, and track whether staff meet hospital safety and quality standards.
· Review clinical changes, software upgrades, and regulatory policies to keep training documentation current.
· Develops orientation and educational goals and objectives set forth by the CEO and Director of Compliance to accomplish missions within the established parameters, goals and objectives.
· Conduct post-training chart audits and live observation sessions to ensure therapists maintain clinical fidelity to the model and are not experiencing "protocol drift."
· Ensures therapists are providing direct therapeutic interventions to patients, including individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing appropriate therapeutic modalities based on program focus.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Master’s degree and a valid Texas LMSW, LCSW, LPC-A, LPC license in good standing.
Experience in a behavioral health or clinical setting preferred.
Experience in staff training, education, or professional development preferred.
Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or hospital settings strongly preferred.
Additional Requirements:
Must possess or obtain a valid CPR certification and de-escalation training before completing new hire orientation.

Physical Requirements:
· Must be able to sit or remain stationary for extended periods during 45-to-60-minute therapy sessions.
· Must possess the sensory acuity to clearly hear spoken language, speak intelligibly, and observe nuanced client facial expressions and body language in person or via telehealth.
· Ability to lift up to 10 to 15 pounds occasionally
· Bending, lifting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching are required.
· Clear sight and hearing to monitor patient behavior, hear alarms, and communicate effectively, sometimes in noisy environments.
· Potential exposure to hostile or agitated individuals, odors, and sometimes loud noises.
· The ability to handle high-stress situations over long, consecutive work hours.
