Payroll Representative

Salary: $17.25- $25.86

SUMMARY

The Payroll Representative is responsible for processing weekly payroll for associates to generate weekly paychecks, process payroll deductions, and report payroll activity.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Process weekly payroll for all stores

· Review and process all Company expense reimbursements.

· Enter and verify payroll adjustments to support accurate and timely payment of employees

· Work with HR and stores to obtain missing information relating to hours, deductions and other payroll items

· Compile weekly and monthly payroll reports and process payments to vendors.

· Review approved retroactive pay, corrections, and off-cycle payments.

· Audit pre and post payroll processing reports for accuracy

· Process weekly deduction changes for employees provided by vendors.

· Process all wage attachments received from agencies

· Review deductions, garnishments, union dues, and other authorized withholdings.

· Complete employee verifications not handled by third party vendors

· Answer questions for employees and stores. Explain pay statements, reported hours, deductions, and payroll procedures.

· Maintain the highest degree of confidentiality with sensitive information.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· Proficiency in a PC environment (MS Word, Excel) strongly preferred

· Strong organizational & communication skills

· Strong customer service skills

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

· High school diploma or equivalent experience

· One year of payroll experience preferred
