## Job Summary:
The Trauma Registrar Lead is responsible for data validation and quality improvement reporting for the Valley Children's trauma registry database. Responsible for preparing reports from the trauma registry for the purposes of internal reporting, oversight agency reporting, research, quality improvement & injury prevention activities. Organizes and collaborates with the County & State Emergency Medical Services & the American College of Surgeons National Trauma Data Bank and TQIP in cleaning, formatting & submitting data within the prescribed timelines & deadlines. Active participant in screening for quality indicators & filters & initiating & facilitating discussion about PI & PI loop closure in weekly Trauma PI meetings.

Qualifications:

Education
- High School Diploma (required)

- Associates Degree Health-related field or equivalent work experience with a strong emphasis on data integrity and analysis. (required)
- Bachelors Degree (preferred)

Licenses and Certifications
- National Certification - Other CAISS(Certified Abbreviated Injury Scale Specialist) (preferred)

- National Certification - Other CSTR (Certified Specialist in Trauma Registry) within 24 months of hire or transfer into position (preferred)

Work Experience
- Minimum ten (10) years Related experience (required)

Skills and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical and anatomical terminology through either formal coursework or work experience in the healthcare field.
Must maintain education consistent with the most updated ACS guidelines.
Trauma and previous registry experience is required.
AIS/ISS and ICD-10 coding.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize requests and assignments.
Maintains data integrity and oversees the trauma registry.
Electronic data management and reporting, including the use of standard office software applications, Microsoft Excel and hospital database management (i.e. Epic)

$33.98 - $49.30
