About this role

We are hiring Antenna Engineers to help design and bring to production the phased-array antennas at the heart of Farcast’s next-generation satellite user terminals. You will work on challenging antenna and array problems across the full development cycle—from antenna element design and full-wave simulation to array-level performance analysis, hardware testing, and validation.
This is a highly hands-on role with direct ownership of real flight and production hardware. You’ll work closely with a multidisciplinary team of RF, electronics, mechanical, software, and systems engineers to push the performance of large electronically steered arrays and turn innovative antenna concepts into products that can be manufactured and deployed at scale. We’re looking for engineers who enjoy solving difficult RF problems, building and testing what they design, and seeing their work become part of a complete satellite communications system.

Responsibilities

- Design schematic and layout of mixed-signal, RF, power, and digital circuitry.

- Contribute to system architecture decisions, including power networks, thermal management, and component selection.

- Successful delivery of PCB/PCBA builds using HDI technology.

- Develop and execute PCBA test plans with an emphasis on International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) compliance and reliability across environmental conditions for an outdoor product.

Required Experience

- Strong working knowledge and experience with schematic capture and layout of high-density PCBs in Orcad or Allegro

- Working knowledge of signal integrity and power integrity

- 5+ years of hands-on experience in board-level design, bring-up, manufacturing, and testing

- Experience with DFM/DFT/DFX

- Experience with IPC standards for PCB manufacturing, assembly, and test

- Established track record of designing and releasing electronics into production, ensuring manufacturability and cost efficiency

- Demonstrated experience with general EE test equipment

Education

- BSEE is required, MS is preferred

What Makes You Stand Out

- Previous experience with HDI in high-reliability electronics

- Working knowledge of RF design principles, including transmission line theory and practical implementation in PCB layout.

- Experience testing complex digital, power, and RF systems, including active antenna modules or phased arrays

- Experience in regulated industries such as aviation or automotive fields
