Job Description Summary

The Communications Specialist will help enhance how Lamb Weston tells its story and connects with internal team members and external audiences. In this role, you’ll develop clear, engaging content; strengthen our corporate social media and internal channels; monitor news and industry trends; support media outreach; and coordinate company events. This is an opportunity for a strong writer and collaborative project manager to make an impact while gaining broad experience across corporate communications.

Job Description

Content Creation & Writing

- Draft engaging content for internal platforms, including the intranet and employee newsletters.
- Write and edit social media posts for corporate channels, ensuring brand consistency and tone.
- Assist in developing key messages and storytelling strategies for various audiences.

Special Projects & Analytics

- Conduct research to support a variety of communications projects, including gathering background information, identifying relevant trends, and summarizing findings.
- Help organize project materials, timelines, and input from internal teams.
- Track performance and analyze results to improve future communications.

Media Monitoring & Outreach

- Monitor media coverage and industry news, flag relevant developments, and help prepare regular media monitoring reports.
- Support media outreach by developing media lists, researching reporters and outlets, and assisting with pitches, interview coordination, and follow-up.

Special Events

- Help plan and execute internal events, including logistics, communications, and on-site support.
- Create promotional materials and post-event recaps to drive engagement and awareness.

Collaboration & Coordination

- Work closely with cross-functional teams to conduct interviews, gather information, and align messaging that supports content development.
- Manage multiple projects with attention to deadlines and shifting priorities.
- Ensure all communications reflect Lamb Weston’s brand and values.

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree required, in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in a communications or public relations role (agency experience preferred).
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills, with the ability to synthesize information, identify relevant trends, and translate findings into clear communications.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, etc.) and content creation tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook); experience with web-based tools and analytics platforms is a plus.
- Experience with media monitoring, media relations, or reporter outreach is a plus.
- Enthusiasm for storytelling, team collaboration, and continuous learning.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate's work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role is listed below.
Pay Rate or Range: $64,900.00 - $97,360.00
