The Project: Manages and coordinates a range of PMO and Project Controls services to support designated projects within the PMO and Planning Centre of Excellence.

You’ll be responsible for:

- Manages a range of PMO and Project Controls performance on a assigned commissions under supervision and mentorship of more senior PMO, Project Controls or Project/Programme Management professionals assigned to that commission.
- Develops the effective implementation of PMO and Project Controls framework/strategy on assigned commissions.
- Actively develops internal and external stakeholder relationships building strong professional relationships with Client/Client representatives.
- Contributes to the preparation of monthly reports and the facilitation and delivery of performance reporting and reviews.
- Recommends and develops  PMO and Project controls methodologies including EVM.
- Manages the integration of all PMO and Planning disciplines including Risk Management and Planning.
- Improves the alignment of all PMO and Project Controls activity to the Mace Control Centre, Client requirements and other legislation.
- Provides comprehensive technical expertise in support of PMO and Project Controls performance.
- Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition, and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.

You’ll need to have:

- Relevant university degree, e.g. construction, engineering or equivalent.
- Experience supporting the delivery of PMO and Project Controls services, with an understanding of the construction/delivery lifecycle and/or consultancy.
- Knowledge of PMO and Project Controls frameworks, strategies, methodologies and practices across relevant sectors such as rail, highways, nuclear, public sector or hospitals.
- Good knowledge of PMO and Project Controls tools and software, including MS Office, Power BI, Aconex, Primavera P6 and RiskHive.
- Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to non-technical audiences.
- Strong attention to detail, collaboration and analytical skills, with an interest in data analytics and continuous improvement.
- Ability to contribute to high-performing teams, with strong networking skills and a flexible, pragmatic and resilient approach to challenging situations.
- APM Planning and Project Controls (PPC) Foundation and Practitioner, with progress towards Chartered status and/or membership of a relevant professional institution considered advantageous.
