About this role

Job Title: Construction Materials Tech Job Description Perform materials testing for construction projects in accordance with industry standards and protocols. Conduct inspections of construction materials and document findings through daily field reporting. Utilize testing equipment and procedures while performing physical activities including squatting, bending, lifting, climbing, and traversing difficult terrain. Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to support testing and inspection activities. Responsibilities

- Perform materials testing for construction projects according to industry standards.
- Conduct inspections of construction materials and document findings.
- Utilize testing equipment and perform physical activities such as squatting, bending, lifting, climbing, and traversing difficult terrain.
- Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints to aid testing and inspection tasks.

Essential Skills

- Experience in concrete testing and materials testing.
- Ability to lift equipment up to 80 lbs.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting plans and blueprints.
- Skills in soil testing, ACI certification, and using a nuclear gauge.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- ACI certification is preferred

Work Environment The position is based in Charlotte, NC and involves field work requiring physical activities and traversing difficult terrain. The role may require working after regular business hours and occasionally on holidays. Employees will have the opportunity to cross-train in different markets and diversify their skillset, as the office encompasses several disciplines including environmental, surveying, and civil. A company truck is provided.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Concord, NC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.50/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job
